An ACT to provide that motor vehicles used as service or wrecking cars shall, for the purpose of licensing and registration pursuant to the provisions of chapter 342 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and known, designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, and amendments thereof, be treated as other similar motor vehicles and not as motor vehicles operated for compensation or for hire.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 5, 8, 14, 16, 17, 18, 23 and 24 of chapter 385 of the Acts of Assembly of 1932, entitled an act to provide for the licensing of chauffeurs, and other motor vehicle operators, and for the suspension and revocation of such licenses for certain causes; to fix liability on certain persons for negligence in the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways; and to prescribe penalties for violations of certain provisions of this act, approved March 29, 1932.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 15 of chapter 385 of the Acts of Assembly of 1932, entitled an act to provide for the licensing of chauffeurs, and other motor vehicle operators, and for the suspension and revocation of such licenses for certain causes; to fix liability on certain persons for negligence in the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways; and to prescribe penalties for violations of certain provisions of this act
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1l-a of an act entitled a1 act to relieve counties of Virginia of, and to assist certain cities and towns in the maintenance and improvement, including construction and reconstruction of certain roads, causeways, streets, bridges, landings and wharves; to establish a secondary system of State highways; for such purpose to prescribe the rights, powers, duties, and authority of the local road authorities, the State Department of Highways, the State Highway Commission, and the State Highway Commissioner; to prohibit certain local levies; to appropriate and allocate funds for the purpose of this act; to provide for elections in counties for withdrawal from the provisions of this act; and to repeal acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith, approved March 31, 1932, as heretofore amended, said section relating to the manner in which any county withdrawing from the operation of said act may bring itself back under the operation thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 109 of chapter three hundred and forty-two of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred and thirty-two, entitled an act to revise, simplify, rearrange and consolidate into one act, which shall constitute and be designated and cited as “The Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia,” the various statutes of the Commonwealth concerning the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the licensing of chauffeurs, the collection of fees and disposition of funds collected, the operation of vehicles on the public roads, highways, streets and alleys, the Division of Motor Vehicles and the director of said division, the powers and duties of said division and director, and the penalties for violations of the provisions of certain such statutes; and to repeal all statutes and acts in conflict with the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4 of chapter 385 of the Acts of Assembly of 1932, entitled an act to provide for the licensing of chauffeurs, and other motor vehicle operators, and for the suspension and revocation of such licenses for certain causes; to fix liability on certain persons for negligence in the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways; and to prescribe penalties for violations of certain provisions of this act
An ACT to name and designate route 31 of the State highway system as 'The Rolfe highway.'
An ACT to empower any city and county now jointly operating or which may hereafter jointly operate a ferry or ferries to issue bonds therefor.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 103 of chapter 342 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and known designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission of Virginia to join with the State Highway and Public Works Commission of the State of North Carolina to acquire the necessary lands therefor, and construct a bridge across the Dan river near Milton, North Carolina, and to provide for the payment of one-half of the costs of construction, and one-half of the costs of maintenance thereof, if constructed, and to vest title to said bridge, when and if constructed.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5431 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to securities in which fiduciaries may invest funds.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 64 of chapter 342, Acts of the General Assembly of Virginia, 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia.
An ACT to authorize and empower any two or more of the counties, cities and towns through their respective governing bodies to contract with each other for any public improvement and to provide in such contracts for appropriations of such moneys as may be deemed necessary for such purposes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8 of an act entitled an act requiring persons, firms, corporations and associations owning, controlling, operating or managing motor vehicles used as common carriers for the transportation of persons and/or property for compensation on the public highways of this State to obtain registration plates or markers, and prescribing and imposing certain taxes and/or license fees and/or charges and providing for the collection, payment and disposition of the same, and providing for the enforcement of this act and for punishment of violations thereof, approved March 26, 1932, and to further amend said act by adding thereto a new section to be numbered 8-a.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 19-f, 19-h, 57 and 105 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city of Richmond, approved March 24, 1926, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections twenty hundred and forty-nine and twenty hundred and fifty of the Code of Virginia, relating to the regulation, operation, management and lease of the ferries across the Elizabeth river and the branches thereof, and providing for the issuance of bonds therefor.
An ACT for the relief of O. G. Jackson.
An ACT to provide for the public safety and welfare at crossings of roads in the State highway system and railroads; for the separation of grades of such roads and railroads; the elimination of crossings at grade; the construction and improvement of overhead and underpass crossings of roads in the State highway system and railroads; and for the apportionment of costs thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 11 of an act entitled an act to provide for the refunding of certain certificates of indebtedness of the par value of $2,000,000.00 issued under an act entitled an act to repeal an act entitled an act to anticipate by counties, or otherwise, the construction of the State highway system
An ACT for the relief of Saunders Brothers, of the county of Nelson.
An ACT to release the United States of America, and any contractor therefor or agent thereof, from any and all claims for damages to the oyster and other public interests of the Commonwealth of Virginia by reason of the dredging and maintenance, by the United States or any such contractor or agent of, including the deposit of material dredged in connection with, navigable channels.

An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission to add to the State highway system, a road from a point at or near Jarman’s Gap, following generally at or near the top of the mountain in a southwesterly direction to the North Carolina, or Tennessee line, to transfer thereof to or for the United States of America, and to sign an agreement as to the maintenance of the same.

An ACT to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending respectively on the thirtieth day of June, 1935, and the thirtieth day of June, 1936.
An ACT to release the United States of America, and any contractor therefor or agent thereof, from any and all claims for damages to the oyster and other public interests of the Commonwealth of Virginia by reason of the dredging and maintenance by the United States or any such contractor or agent of, including the deposit of material dredged in connection with, a navigable channel, or any part thereof, in the James river from the vicinity of Hampton Roads to the city of Richmond.

An ACT for the relief of Margaret F. McMurran.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 7 of an act entitled an act to provide for licensing dealers in motor fuel; to require certain reports by such dealers and certain other persons; to levy a tax upon motor fuel: to provide for its collection; to appropriate the revenue raised by the same; to prescribe penalties for violations; and to repeal an act of the General Assembly entitled an act to levy a tax upon motor vehicle fuel; to provide for its collection; to appropriate revenue raised by the same, and to prescribe penalties, approved March 26, 1923, and to repeal all acts amendatory thereof, and all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 23, 1932, in relation to refunds of taxes paid on motor fuel
An ACT to provide for the fixing of maximum weights of motor vehicles or combination of vehicles by the State Highway Commission; to provide for the establishment and posting of signs on highways, public bridges, causeways and viaducts; and to provide penalties for violations of the provisions of this act.
An ACT to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of an act entitled an act to provide for the construction, reconstruction, improvement and maintenance of the public roads and bridges in Giles county, other than such as are included in the State highway system, and to provide for the issuing of county bonds for the construction, reconstruction and permanent improvement of the roads and bridges, embraced in the county highway system, approved February 10, 1920, and any and all amendments of said sections or any of them, and to provide when the repeal of the various sections shall become effective.
An ACT to authorize the destruction of papers and records of no permanent usefulness in the offices of the Department of Highways after three years.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled “An act authorizing the State Commission on Conservation and Development to acquire by the exercise of the right of eminent domain in condemnation proceedings or by gift, devise, purchase or any other lawful means for the transfer of title, the lands described therein, for public parks or for public park purposes,” approved March 23, 1932, as heretofore amended, so as to authorize the State Commission on Conservation and Development under certain conditions to transfer said lands or a part thereof to the United States of America.
An ACT to authorize the city of Danville to acquire, own, construct, operate and maintain a street railway system and electric and gasoline buses in the city of Danville and Pittsylvania county.
An ACT to name and designate the bridge across the Nansemond river, in the county of Nansemond, Virginia, on route 460 of the State highway system as the “Robert W. Withers Memorial Bridge.”
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to convey the interest of the Commonwealth in certain property in Henrico county, which is no longer needed for highway purposes, to Anna E. Wagner, in exchange for a parcel of property now owned by Anna E. Wagner, which is needed for highway purposes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 7 of an act entitled “An act to provide for licensing dealers in motor fuel; to require certain reports by such dealers and certain other persons; to levy a tax upon motor fuel; to provide for its collection; to appropriate the revenue raised by the same; to prescribe penalties for violations; and to repeal an act of the General Assembly entitled an act to levy a tax upon motor vehicle fuel; to provide for its collection; to appropriate revenue raised by the same, and to prescribe penalties, approved March 26, 1923, and to repeal all acts amendatory thereof, and all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 23, 1932,” as heretofore amended, in relation to refunds of taxes paid on motor fuel.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission to relocate a part of route number 49 of the State highway system.
An ACT to authorize and empower the county of Henrico in this Commonwealth to acquire by purchase lands situate in said county for the purpose of establishing and maintaining an airport, or aviation landing field, and to establish, construct, improve, equip, maintain, and operate said airport or landing field, and to authorize the lease by the said county of the whole or portions thereof, to individuals or corporations, for the operation of the same, or any part thereof, on such terms and subject to such conditions as may be provided by the board of supervisors of said county; to authorize the lease of the whole or a part thereof to the government of the United States upon a nominal or other rental, or without consideration, for aviation, mail delivery, or other aviation purposes.
An ACT giving the consent of the Commonwealth of Virginia to the United States of America and any contractor or agent thereof to use certain marsh lands owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia, as an area for the disposal of materials resulting from dredging and maintaining a navigable channel in Starlings creek, in ‘Accomac county and to release the United States of America and its contractors and agents from claims for damages accruing to the Commonwealth as a result of the dredging and maintenance of such channel.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 10 of Chapter 159 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1928, which chapter is an act to provide for a general road law applicable in all the counties of the Commonwealth, the section here amended being in relation to the duty of the owner or occupier of a dam to maintain road or bridge thereon; providing for the right of inspection of same by the State Highway Commission; costs of replacing and upkeep.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 14 of an act entitled "an act to enable counties, cities and towns to secure the benefits of an act of the Congress of the United States of America, approved June 16, 1933, known as the National Industrial Recovery Act, and any acts amendatory thereof and any acts supplemental thereto and revisions thereof, and any further act of the Congress of the United States of America delegating powers to undertake any purpose or purposes in aid of the financing of which the President of the United States or any other Federal agency is now or hereafter authorized and empowered, through the Federal Emergency Administrator of Public Works or through such other agencies as may be designated or created, to make grants or loans; delegating powers to contract debts, borrow money and issue bonds therefor; prescribing the mode of procedure for, and regulating the issuance of such bonds, and providing for the payment thereof; authorizing agreements with the holders of such bonds and providing for the remedies of such holders; and repealing inconsistent provisions of all laws general or special of the Commonwealth," approved September 7, 1933, so as to extend the effective date of certain provisions of said act until July 1, 1938.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4473 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to punishment for throwing stones or other missiles at trains, vessels, motor vehicles or buildings.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 18 and 19 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the acquisition of lands by the United States of America, so as to prescribe the rights, powers and jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States of America over and with respect to such lands, and persons and property thereon, and transactions, matters and things arising thereon, and to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto two new sections numbered 19-a and 19-b, giving the conditional consent of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to the acquisition by the United States of America of certain lands in Virginia, and prescribing the limitations imposed upon and the reservations incident to any transfer of such lands; and prescribing the respective jurisdictions of the Commonwealth of Virginia and of the United States of America over such lands, over persons and property thereon, and over any transactions, matters and things arising thereon; and to repeal certain acts pertaining to the same subject.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 61 and 62 and 94, as amended, of chapter 342, of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and known, designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, said sections relating to reckless driving and lighting equipment.
An ACT to delete from the primary system of State highways five miles of route 120 extending southwestwardly from Boone Mill and to transfer the same to the secondary system of State highways; and to add five miles to route 41 of the primary system of State highways.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1 of an act entitled "An act to relieve counties of Virginia of, and to assist certain cities and towns in, the maintenance and improvement, including construction and reconstruction, of certain roads, causeways, streets, bridges, landings and wharves; to establish a secondary system of State highways; for such purpose to prescribe the rights, powers, duties, and authority of the local road authorities, the State Department of Highways, the State Highway Commission, and the State Highway Commissioner; to prohibit certain local levies; to appropriate and allocate funds for the purpose of this act; to provide for elections in counties for withdrawal from the provisions of this act; and to repeal acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith," approved March 31, 1932 [H B 13]
An ACT to define motor vehicle carriers and transportation brokers; to provide for the regulation, supervision, and control of persons, firms, corporations, and associations, owning, controlling, operating, or managing motor vehicles used for the transportation of persons or property for compensation on the public highways of this State, and of transportation brokers; to provide for the regulation of the rates thereof; to provide for and/or regulate and/or control the operation of, and the charges, rates, or services imposed by any person, firm, or corporation operating motor vehicles for compensation over the highways of this State; to provide for the enforcement of this act, and for the punishment of violations thereof; and to repeal chapter 359 of the Acts of 1932, and all statutes and/or acts, or parts of statutes and/or acts, in conflict with the provisions of this act.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to convey to W. M. Nieswander, certain real estate in Linville Magisterial District, Rockingham county, Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 35 of an act entitled an act to revise, simplify, rearrange and consolidate into one act which shall constitute and be designated and cited as “The Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia,” the various statutes of the Commonwealth, concerning the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the licensing of chauffeurs, the collection of fees and disposition of funds collected, the operation of vehicles on the public roads, highways, streets, and alleys, the Division of Motor Vehicles and the director of said division, the powers and duties of said division and director, and the penalties for violations of the provisions of certain such statutes; and to repeal all statutes and acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 26, 1932, as heretofore amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 2, 1934, in relation to registration fees.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to acquire, by gift, purchase, condemnation, or otherwise, scenic easements, or in lieu thereof parcels of land, on either side or both sides of the roadway or highway from a point at or near Jarmen’s Gap and extending generally in a southwesterly direction to the North Carolina line, which roadway or highway the State Highway Commissioner has been heretofore authorized to convey to the United States, and which has been set apart and designated by the United States as the proposed Shenandoah-Great Smoky Mountains National Parkway; and to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to transfer, assign and convey to the United States said scenic easements, or land, so acquired.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to convey to the Building and Loan Company of Manchester, Incorporated, a certain parcel of real estate in Chesterfield county no longer needed for State highway purposes, in exchange for a parcel of land now owned by the Building and Loan Company of Manchester, Incorporated.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8, as heretofore amended, of an act entitled an act requiring persons, firms, corporations and associations owning, controlling, operating or managing motor vehicles used as common carriers for the transportation of persons and/or property for compensation on the public highways of this State to obtain registration plates or markers, and prescribing and imposing certain taxes and/or license fees and/or charges and providing for the collection, payment and disposition of the same, and providing for the enforcement of this act and for punishment of violations thereof, approved March 26, 1932, so as to provide for deduction of charges for tolls and ferriage from gross receipts in computing certain taxes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 15 of an act entitled "an act to provide for the licensing of chauffeurs, and other motor vehicle operators, and for the suspension and revocation of such licenses for certain causes; to fix liability on certain persons for negligence in the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways; and to prescribe penalties for violations of certain provisions of this act," approved March 29, 1932, as heretofore amended, in relation to the operator of a motor vehicle displaying his license upon demand.
An ACT to release the United States of America, and any contractor therefor or agent thereof, from any and all claims for damages to the oyster and other public interests of the Commonwealth of Virginia by reason of the dredging and maintenance, by the United States or any such contractor or agent of, including the deposit of material in connection with, a navigable channel in and from Back river into and in Wallace creek, Elizabeth City county, Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 217-a of the Tax Code of Virginia relating to the assessment and taxation of rolling stock of certificated motor vehicle carriers.
An ACT to authorize publishers of newspapers to erect and maintain newspaper route boxes on the rights of way of public roads in rural sections, and to print on such boxes the names of the newspapers to be deposited therein.
An ACT to ratify certain acts of the State Highway Commission and the State Highway Commissioner relating to additions heretofore made to the State Highway System, and the conveyance of certain sections thereof to the United States as parts of the Shenandoah-Great Smoky Mountains National Parkway; to authorize and prescribe future similar conveyances of remaining parts thereof and the acquisition of the lands so conveyed or to be conveyed; to cede to the United States certain jurisdictional powers over said lands in said parkway and to reserve to the Commonwealth of Virginia all other powers and jurisdiction over same.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Chapter 344, Acts 1930, entitled "an act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto ten new sections, numbered 3074-a to 3074-i, both inclusive, authorizing and empowering cities and incorporated towns in this Commonwealth to acquire by lease, purchase or condemnation proceedings any land within, or (with the consent of the local authorities where such land is situated) without the limits of said cities or towns for the purpose of establishing and maintaining municipal airports or aviation landing fields, and to establish, construct, improve, equip, maintain and operate said airports or landing fields, and to provide for the procedure in cases of condemnation and the extent of title acquired; authorizing the lease by the said cities or incorporated towns of the whole or portions thereof to individuals or corporations and the operation of the same, or any part thereof, on such terms and subject to such conditions as may be provided by the local legislative body of said city or incorporated town, and the lease thereof to the government of the United States upon nominal or other rental, or without consideration for aviation, mail delivery or other aviation purposes."
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 20 and 21 of an Sct entitled an act to revise, simplify, rearrange and consolidate into one act which shall constitute and be designated and cited as The Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, the various statutes of the Commonwealth, concerning the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the licensing of chauffeurs, the collection of fees and disposition of funds collected, the operation of vehicles on the public roads, highways, streets, and alleys, the Division of Motor Vehicles and the director of said division, the powers and duties of said division and director, and the penalties for violations of the provisions of certain such statutes; and to repeal all statutes and acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 26, 1932, in relation to number plates for motor vehicles, and prescribing penalties for violations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 9 of an act entitled ‘an act to relieve counties of Virginia of, and to assist certain cities and towns in, the maintenance and improvement, including construction and reconstruction, of certain roads, causeways, streets, bridges, landings and wharves; to establish a secondary system of State highways; for such purpose to prescribe the rights, powers, duties, and authority of the local road authorities, the State Department of Highways, the State Highway Commission, and the State Highway Commissioner; to prohibit certain local levies; to appropriate and allocate funds for the purpose of this act; to provide for elections in counties for withdrawal from the provisions of this act; and to repeal acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith'
An ACT to provide for the refunding of certain certificates of indebtedness of the par value of $478,000.00, issued under an act entitled "an act to repeal an act entitled an act to anticipate by counties, or otherwise, the construction of the State highway system, approved March 15, 1920, as amended and re-enacted by an act entitled 'an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to anticipate by counties or otherwise the construction of the State highway system, approved March 15, 1920, approved March 21, 1924; to provide for the issue and sale of certificates of indebtedness of the Commonwealth of Virginia to repay the sums advanced to the State under the provisions of the aforesaid acts and to provide a sinking fund for the payment of the interest on the said certificates of indebtedness and the principal thereof at maturity, " approved March 19, 1926, by authorizing and directing the issuance and sale of $478,000.00 par value certificates of indebtedness and/or notes of the Commonwealth of Virginia; and to provide for the payment of interest on such certificates of indebtedness and/or notes, and the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 8 of an act entitled "an act to create a State Highway Commission; to provide for a chairman thereof; and to prescribe the powers, duties and the compensation of the commission and chairman; and to provide for a State Highway Commissioner; to create road construction districts; to provide for the apportionment among them of road construction funds, and to provide for road construction, improvement, maintenance and preservation, also to repeal Sections 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1974 and 1975 of the Code of Virginia, and to repeal an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to establish a State Highway Commission; to define its powers and duties; the term of office, salary and qualifications of the commissioner; to authorize the commission to call into consultation the professors of engineering in certain State institutions, and appropriating money to carry the provisions of this act into effect, approved March 6, 1906; to provide for the appointment of a commission, and fixing their term of office; to give to said commission the power of eminent domain, the power to make and enforce rules and regulations governing the traffic and use of the State highway system, not in conflict with the laws of this State, and to prescribe penalties for the violation of such rules and regulations, approved September 5, 1919, and to repeal all other sections of the Code and acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act,” approved March 24, 1922, said section relating to the advertising for bids.
An ACT to name that portion of Route Five of the State Highway System between Richmond and Williamsburg “The John Tyler Memorial Highway.”
An ACT to make it unlawful to erect, or maintain, or permit to be erected, or maintained, along any public highway any false or misleading sign purporting to furnish travel information; to provide for the removal and destruction of such signs under certain circumstances; to prescribe penalties for violations; and to repeal inconsistent acts.
An ACT to authorize the council of the town of South Boston to issue bonds of the town of South Boston in an amount not exceeding fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), and to provide for the levy of a tax to pay the interest on said bonds and retire the same as they mature.

An ACT authorizing the appointment by the board of supervisors of any county, county planning commission for said county, defining the duties of said planning commission and authorizing the appropriation of county funds for the purpose of carrying on the work of said commission.
An ACT to provide a charter for the town of Haysi, in Dickenson County, Virginia.
An ACT to establish within the primary system of the State highways and as a part thereof, the Richmond Battlefield Park Division of the State highways, to consist of the route followed by General Stuart in his ride around McClellan’s army and the principal routes over which the armies moved in converging upon the battlefields around Richmond in the campaigns of 1862 and 1864.
An ACT to authorize the State Commission on Conservation and Development to transfer and convey to the United States of America, or a department, institution or agency thereof, subject to certain conditions, restrictions and reservations, all rights, title and interest which the said commission and the State of Virginia has or may hereafter acquire in and to certain lands in Princess Anne county known and designated as the Virginia Sea Shore State Park.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission to expend out of funds appropriated to it derived from the tax on motor vehicle fuels the sum of $25,000, for the maintenance and improvement of airplane and airship landing fields owned or leased and operated on a non-profit basis by the counties, cities and towns of the State; and to empower the counties of the State to acquire, establish and operate airplane and airship landing fields.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4, 5, 15, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, 29, 35, 37, 38, 39, 42, 50, and 53 of Chapter 94 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1934, approved March 7, 1934, and known, designated and cited as the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, so as, among other things, to vest in members of the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and persons designated by such board general police authority, to provide that judicial notice shall be taken of regulations of such board, and to further amend the said act by adding thereto the following new sections: Section 38-a, providing for the forfeiture and confiscation of certain automobiles, boats, aircraft and other conveyances; Section 48-a, imposing penalties for failing or refusing to obey certain subpoenas and for disturbing decorum of certain meetings; Section 49-a, providing for regulations and permits relating to transportation of the aforementioned alcoholic liquids, beverages and articles; Section 61-a, providing for introduction of chemical analyses as evidence; and Section 61-b, allowing previous convictions hereunder to be alleged and proved.
An ACT to amend chapter 342 of the Acts of Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, as amended, and designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, by adding thereto a new section numbered 35-e, in relation to registration fees assessed by cities and towns.

An ACT to authorize and ratify a conveyance by the State Highway Commissioner of the interest of the Commonwealth in a certain strip or parcel of land in Albemarle county, Virginia, which is no longer needed for highway purposes, to the Albemarle Oil and Gas Company, Incorporated, in exchange for a parcel of land which has been conveyed by the Albemarle Oil and Gas Company, Incorporated, to the Commonwealth of Virginia and which is needed for highway purposes.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner to convey to the Chester Realty Development Corporation a certain parcel of real estate in Chesterfield county, no longer needed for public use, in exchange for a parcel of land now owned by the Chester Realty Development Corporation.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commissioner of Virginia to convey to K. E. Harman and Laura J. Harman a certain parcel of real estate in Pulaski county no longer needed for highway purposes.
