AN ACT to provide a landscape planning engineer for the State highway commission, and to define his duties.
An Act to authorize the State highway commission to maintain a proper detour over the Jerusalem plank road in Prince George county, near the city of Petersburg, for State highway route No. 35.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 18, 60 and 61 of chapter 474 of the acts of 1926, entitled “An act to regulate the operation of vehicles on public highways to govern and protect pedestrians while using such high-ways; to provide penalties for violating the provisions of this act and the disposition of fines and forfeitures collected hereunder, to make uniform the law relating to the subject matter of this act, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act,’ as amended by acts of 1928, page 1020.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 140 of the acts of assembly of 1906, entitled ‘an act to incorporate the town of Cambria, in Montgomery county’
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 7 of chapter 470, of the acts of 1928 entitled “An act to levy a tax upon motor vehicle fuels; to provide for its collection; to appropriate revenue raised by the same and to prescribe penalties,”
An ACT to create the northern Virginia park and planning district; to provide for the creation and powers of the northern Virginia park and planning commission, including the making of a plan for the development of said district; the regulation of the sub-division of land within said district; the regulation of buildings in planned streets within said district; and other matters relating to the making, protecting and preserving the integrity of and carrying out the said plan for the said district; and providing for the levying of a tax and the expenditure thereof for carrying out the purposes of said commission.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled “An act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to provide for the construction of overhead and underpass crossings of railroads by State highways, and for the elimination of existing grade crossings on State highways, and to provide for the payment of the costs thereof, approved March 7, 1924, approved March 19, 1926.”
An ACT to repeal chapter 358 of the acts of assembly of 1928, entitled an act to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Carroll to borrow money, not in excess of $75,000.00, and to issue bonds of the county therefor, for the purpose of surveying, constructing, repairing and improving certain roads and bridges, for Laurel Fork magisterial district of said county, and to provide for the payment of the interest on such bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 18 of an act, approved March 20, 1922, entitled “An act to provide for the consolidation or annexation of cities.”
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 494 of the acts of assembly of Virginia of 1926, authorizing co-operation on the part of the proper authorities of the State of Virginia in respect to construction of boulevards or highways in the State of Virginia, or widening or improving existing highways of the United States government.
AN ACT to authorize the State highway commission to include in the State highway system certain streets and roads in incorporated towns and cities of thirty-five hundred (3,500) inhabitants or less.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4470 and 4471 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to trespassing on railroad cars and trains.

An Act to authorize the State highway commission to cooperate with the persons who are given the right to establish a marine museum in any county in Virginia adjoining any city located on navigable water and with a population of thirty thousand or more inhabitants, under the provisions of a bill for that purpose introduced at the present session of the general assembly, and to make certain changes in the State highways adjacent to and extending across the property of such person or persons establishing such museum.

An ACT to prohibit, under certain circumstances, the issuance of a certificate pursuant to section 7 of chapter 419, of the Acts of Assembly, 1930, permitting the use of any of the improved public highways in the interstate transportation of passengers or freight.
An ACT to change the location of a part of route 49 as added to the State highway system by the State highway commission.
An ACT for the relief of W. B. Cassel.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section, which new section shall be known as section 4567-a, relating to the protection of bailors of horses, mules, automobiles or aeroplanes or any other animal or vehicle.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2769 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to pay of supervisors
An ACT to name a certain portion of route two of the State highway system “the James Monroe highway,” and to repeal all acts inconsistent, or in conflict.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 17, 19-f and 23 of an act entitled “An act to provide a new charter for the city of Richmond, approved March 24, 1926, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to authorize the expenditure of funds available for State highway construction and maintenance purposes upon interstate highway bridges and approaches connecting roads now or hereafter in the State highway system with public roads in other states.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Gordonsville, Virginia; to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith; and to validate all contracts heretofore or hereafter made by the present council and government while in office not inconsistent with this charter or the Constitution and general laws of this State.

An ACT to provide a road board for Capeville magisterial district, in Northampton county, to authorize the board of supervisors of Northampton county to borrow money for road purposes in Capeville district, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts in conflict.
An ACT to repeal an act entitled “an act to authorize the manufacture of motor vehicle license plates, road signs and kindred articles for the use of the State or to be sold, with prison labor at the penitentiary; to authorize the purchase of the necessary equipment and materials and the employment of the necessary foremen and all things necessary or incident to the manufacture of said license plates, markers and kindred articles,” approved March 28, 1928, and to authorize the board of directors of the State penitentiary to retain possession and control of the equipment purchased under the provisions of this act.
An ACT to authorize the State highway commissioner to re-convey certain property in Henrico and Goochland counties acquired for State highway
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3923 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to penalties for not observing rules concerning the transportation of explosives.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 12, 12% and 46 of chapter 159 of the Acts of Assembly of 1928, approved March 10, 1928, which chapter is an act to provide a general road law applicable in all the counties of the Commonwealth; to provide for the location, construction, maintenance, control, jurisdiction, and supervision over all the public roads in the Commonwealth other than roads in the State highway system; to provide for the county and district road funds and the disbursement thereof and accounting therefor; to authorize the employment by the several counties of a county road engineer or a county manager; to provide for free advice and aid from the State highway commission; to authorize elections in the several counties to determine as to the employment of a county road engineer or county manager; and repealing certain sections of the Code of Virginia, certain special road laws and inconsistent acts.

An ACT to name the bridge across the Rivanna river, at Palmyra, on route 32 of the State highway system, the “Pembroke Pettit bridge.”
An ACT to repeal chapter 252 of the Acts of Assembly of 1884, entitled an act to provide for working of roads in counties of Chesterfield, Powhatan and Goochland, and all acts amendatory thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2071 of the Code of Virginia, relative to the collection of ferriage and tolls on ferries and toll bridges.
An ACT to designate the bridge on Route No. 16 of the State highway system, which connects the counties of Rappahannock and Madison as the “James H. Fletcher bridge’ and providing a suitable marker therefor.

An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission to change the location of part of State Highway Route 236 (formerly Route 711) in Arlington county, Virginia.
An ACT to enable counties, cities and towns to secure the benefits of an act of the Congress of the United States of America, approved June 16, 1933, known as the National Industrial Recovery Act, and any acts amendatory thereof and any acts supplemental thereto and revisions thereof.
An ACT to authorize the State Commission on Conservation and Development, the town of Virginia Beach, and any agency of the Federal government to open, clear, deepen and widen channels from Chesapeake Bay through Lynnhaven Inlet, Long Creek, Broad Bay and Linkhorn Bay, in the county of Princess Anne; to confer the right of eminent domain for such purpose; and to authorize the town of Virginia Beach to participate in, and take advantage of the provisions of an act of the Congress of the United States, approved June 16, 1933, and known as the National Industrial Recovery Act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact a portion of an act entitled 'An act to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending, respectively, on the thirtieth day of June, 1933, and the thirtieth day of June, 1934,' approved March 18, 1932, the portion amended and re-enacted being a part of the said act making an appropriation to the State Commission on Conservation and Development for acquisition of area for the Shenandoah National Park.
An ACT to secure for the people of Virginia benefits under Title II of the National Industrial Recovery Act, relating to public works and construction projects, thereby co-operating with the President in national recovery; to provide for receiving, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, of grants and advances from the United States under the National Industrial Recovery Act for projects for construction, repair and improvement of public highways and bridges, and for the expenditure of same; and for the repayment of advances from the motor vehicle fuel tax.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 1 and 7 of an act entitled an act to create a State Highway Commission; to provide for a chairman thereof; and to prescribe the powers, duties and the compensation of the commission and chairman; and to provide for a State Highway Commissioner; to create road construction districts; to provide for the apportionment among them of road construction funds, and to provide for road construction, improvement, maintenance, and preservation, also to repeal sections 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1974 and 1975 of the Code of Virginia, and to repeal an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to establish a State Highway Commission; to define its powers and duties; the term of office, salary and qualifications of the commissioner; to authorize the commission to call into consultation the professors of engineering in certain State institutions, and appropriating money to carry the provisions of this act into effect, approved March 6, 1906; to provide for the appointment of a commission, and fixing their term of office; to give to said commission the power of eminent domain, the power to make and enforce rules and regulations governing the traffic and use of the State highway system, not in conflict with the laws of this State, and to prescribe penalties for the violation of such rules and regulations, approved September 5, 1919, and to repeal all other sections of the Code and acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act, approved March 24, 1922, as heretofore amended and re-enacted as to section 7 by an act approved March 21, 1924, and by an act approved April 11, 1927.
An ACT to authorize the State Highway Commission to change the location of a portion of route 55 between Marshall and Markham.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 35 of chapter 342 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, in relation to registration fees.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding to chapter 142 thereof a new section numbered 3615-a, providing that certificates to pilots issued by the Board of Pilot Commissioners shall expire on the 31st day of December, 1934, and on the 31st day of December of each year thereafter, and providing for proration of license taxes.

An ACT to authorize and empower the council of the city of Hampton to convey all the right, title and interest of the said city in and to a certain portion of Shield street to Virginia Public Service Company in exchange for certain other real estate in said city.
An ACT to authorize the use of funds for the State highway system from the tax on motor fuel for maintenance of the State highway system as well as for construction.

An ACT to authorize the town of South Hill, in Mecklenburg county, to abandon a portion of Lunenburg avenue and convey the same to G. L. Smith and the heirs of Nannie R. Smith, deceased, in exchange for a certain strip of land to be added to the said Lunenburg avenue.
An ACT granting to the town of Chincoteague all right, title and interest of the Commonwealth in a certain tract of marsh land lying between the Chincoteague island and the mainland.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2. 17, 22, 23. 28. 32, 33, 34, 39, 43, 44, 46, 53, 58, 62, 63, 75, 84, 94, 95, 96, 97, 99, 100, 105, 106, 107, 111, 112, 121 and 122 of chapter 342 of the Acts of Assembly for 1932 entitled an act to revise, simplify, rearrange and consolidate into one act which shall constitute and be designated and cited as “The Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia,” the various statutes of the Commonwealth concerning the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the licensing of chauffeurs, the collection of fees and disposition of funds collected, the operation of vehicles on the public roads, highways, streets and alleys, the Division of Motor Vehicles and the director of said division, the powers and duties of said division and director, and the penalties for violations of the provisions of certain such statutes; and to repeal all statutes and acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 26, 1932.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8 of chapter 415 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, the said chapter being an act establishing the secondary system of State highways and relieving the localities from further duty or liability concerning the maintenance of such highways, et cetera
