An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Amherst to borrow money not in excess of $20,000.00, and to issue its time warrants therefor, for the purpose of refunding certain road bonds of the said county which mature on January 1, 1927.

JOINT RESOLUTION in relation to the National Capital Park Commission
An ACT to validate, approve, and confirm the expenditure of the sum of one thousand seven hundred and eighty dollars and fifty-one cents ($1,780.51), by the board of supervisors of Fairfax county, Virginia, being part of the proceeds of the sale of bonds for road improvement in Dranesville magisterial district, in said county
An ACT to authorize co-operation on the part of the proper authorities of the State of Virginia in respect to extension into the State of Virginia of the park, parkway, playground, water, drainage and sewerage systems of the District of Columbia, and to prevent pollution of the waters of the Potomac river and to preserve forests and natural scenery in connection with such projects.
An ACT to regulate the parking of vehicles in the capitol square, and to protect the grass therein.

An ACT to authorize, empower and direct the board of supervisors of the county of Princess Anne to borrow money by the issue of bonds in the aggregate sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00) for the purpose of purchasing, building and improving roads and bridges in Seaboard magisterial district in said county: to sell the said bonds; to provide for the payment of interest thereon and principal thereof and to authorize the commission of roads and bridges of Princess Anne county for Seaboard magisterial district, to dispense the funds so obtained.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2054, 2057 and 2058 of the Code of Virginia, 1919, which sections are in chapter 86 of the said Code, relating to ferries and bridges, and for other purposes.

An ACT to name a portion of the State highway system of Virginia as the "J. E. B. Stuart highway."
An ACT to name route thirty-two of the State highway system "the James Madison highway."
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Carroll to borrow money, not in excess of $75,000.00, and to issue bonds of the county therefor, for the purpose of surveying, constructing, repairing and improving certain roads and bridges, for Laurel Fork magisterial district of said county, and to provide for the payment of the interest on such bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4734 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to authorize the State highway commission of Virginia to join with the State roads commission of Maryland to purchase the interstate highway bridge and approaches over the Potomac river near Point of Rocks, Maryland, and to use funds appropriated for the construction of roads and bridges in the State highway system for such purpose, to provide for the vesting of title to said bridge and approaches jointly in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and State of Maryland, in each an undivided one-half interest; to authorize the board of supervisors of Loudoun county to join with the State roads commission of Maryland to purchase the interstate highway bridge and approaches over the Potomac river, at Brunswick, Maryland, and the vesting of title to said bridge and approaches jointly in the board of supervisors of Loudoun county and the State of Maryland, in each an undivided one-half interest; to provide for the charge and collection of tolls on said bridges and the ‘application of such tolls on the purchase price of the interstate highway bridge and approaches, over the Potomac river at Brunswick, Maryland, until such purchase price shall be paid in full, and to make both such bridges and approaches thereafter free of tolls; to provide for the payment of one-half of the cost of repair, operation and maintenance of the bridge and approaches near Point of Rocks, Maryland, from funds appropriated for the maintenance of roads in the State highway system, and for the payment of one-half of the cost of repair, operation and maintenance of the bridge and approaches at Brunswick, Maryland, by the board of supervisors of Loudoun county out of county road funds, and to repeal previous acts relating to the purchase of such bridges, approved March 17, 1926, and March 23, 1926 respectively.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 9 of chapter 112 of the acts of assembly of 1924, page 132, the same being amendatory of an act entitled an act to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Carroll to let to contract the public roads of said county, and levy a tax to keep the same in order, approved February 29, 1892.
An ACT to prohibit the construction, maintenance or operation of toll bridges across, in or over the navigable waters of the State, without a permit from the State highway commission, to provide for the purchase of such bridges by the State, and the control and regulation thereof by the State corporation commission in the meantime.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Carroll to borrow money, not in excess of $15,000.00, and to issue bonds of the county therefor, for the purpose of surveying, constructing, repairing and improving certain roads and bridges, for Fancy Gap magisterial district of said county, and to provide for the payment of the interest on such bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 7 and 8 of chapter 107 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, entitled “an act to levy a tax upon motor vehicle fuels; to provide for its collection; to appropriate revenue raised by the same and to prescribe penalties;”

An ACT to provide for the assessment and taxation of stocks and bonds and other evidences of debt in anywise held or owned by railway and canal companies chartered under the laws of Virginia for 1928 and succeeding years; and to provide when such companies shall not be assessed with stocks, bonds and other evidences of debt omitted from assessment for the year 1927 and preceding years.
