An ACT to regulate the operation of vehicles on public highways to govern and protect pedestrians while using such highways; to provide penalties for violating the provisions of this act and the disposition of fines and forfeitures collected hereunder, to make uniform the law relating to the subject matter of this act, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2802 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to removal to place of last settlement of any person coming into a locality who is likely to become a charge thereon.

An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Mathews county to operate, in whole or in part, a ferry between the mainland and Gwynn’s island, or to purchase, maintain and operate the ferry now in operation between the said points.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to authorize the trustees of New London Academy to lease said buildings to county superintendents of schools of Bedford and Campbell counties for school purposes, approved May 10, 1887, as amended by an act approved March 12, 1912, authorizing the trustees of New London Academy to convey the real and personal property vested in them to the county school boards of Bedford and Campbell counties, and providing for the maintenance and management of the academy; and to enlarge the powers of the said board of managers.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act to provide for the issuing of county bonds for permanent road or bridge improvement.

AN ACT to amend and re-enact subsection C of section 2546 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to official receipts for fines.
An ACT to authorize the town of Martinsville, in Henry county, to hold an election in the year 1926 for the purpose of authorizing the council of said town to issue the bonds of said town under section 77 of its charter, as amended by an act, approved February & 1926.

An ACT concerning taxation; to segregate for the purposes of taxation, the several kinds or classes of property, so as to specify and determine upon what subjects State taxes, and upon what subjects local taxes, may be levied; to amend and re-enact sections 2205, 2206, 2207 and 2212 of the Code of Virginia; to amend and re-enact sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28, 2914, 31, 33, 35, 36 and 36% of the tax bill, as heretofore amended; to repeal section 2209 of the Code of Virginia; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and to appropriate money for the construction of roads and projects comprised in “the State highway system,” and to provide for an additional fund for the maintenance of public free schools of primary and grammar grades, from the first to the seventh, inclusive, and to provide for the prevention and eradication of tuberculosis among the people of this State, and to extend the work of the State board of health, approved March 16, 1918; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise additional revenue for the support of the government, approved March 23, 1918; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and to appropriate money for the construction of roads and projects comprised in the “State highway system,” approved September 5, 1919; to repeal sections 2 and 7 of the tax bill, in relation to real estate and tangible personal property; to repeal an act entitled an act to regulate the situs of taxation of bank stock, approved March 16, 1918; to raise revenue for the support of the government and to provide a minimum fixed appropriation of State revenue for public free school purposes and to provide penalties for violations of this act.
An ACT to provide for the holding of elections in the Newcastle school district of Craig county, Virginia, on the question of the issuance of bonds for the purpose of acquiring buildings and building sites, and erecting or repairing and furnishing school buildings in such district; to provide for the issuance and sale of said bonds in accordance with said elections; and to provide for the levying of a tax for the purpose of paying the interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund for the payment of the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to create a State commission on conservation and development; to prescribe its powers and duties; to vest it with powers and duties now vested by law in the water power and development commission, the State geological commission, the State geological survey, the office of the State geologist, and the office of the State forester; and to vest it with power to condemn and acquire land and other property for park purposes.
