An ACT to amend and re-enact subsection 10 of section 2 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city of Roanoke and to repeal the existing charter of said city and the several acts amendatory thereof and all other acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act so far as they relate to the city of Roanoke, approved March 22, 1924, page 720 of acts 1924, so as to empower the city of Roanoke to remedy and prevent water companies from providing or furnishing improper water supply to the inhabitants of the city and to define the procedure in connection therewith.

An ACT to authorize the councils of the cities to provide for the cutting of weeds and other foreign growth on vacant property.
An ACT to validate an ordinance of the city of Hopewell adopted by the city council of the city of Hopewell on the 29th day of August, 1927, authorizing the issue of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) worth of bonds, twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) of which is to be used to construct a jail and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) of which is to be used to institute and maintain sewerage and culverts and other public improvements in the city of Hopewell, and to validate an election held on the 8th day of November, 1927, submitting to the qualified voters of the city of Hopewell the right to pass on the issuing of said bonds, pursuant to chapter 122, of the Code of Virginia; and authorizing the city of Hopewell to issue fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) worth of bonds, twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) as jail bonds and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) as sewerage and other public improvement bonds.

An ACT to repeal section 102 of chapter 64, acts of 1895-96, entitled an act to incorporate the city of Newport News, in the county of Warwick, and to provide a charter therefor, approved January 16, 1896, relating to the disposition of money to the credit of the sinking fund; and to amend and re-enact section 91 of said act, relating to the election and duties of the constable; and to amend and re-enact section 103 of said act, as amended by an act approved March 24, 1920, relating to contracts for the erection and construction of public improvements.

An ACT to authorize the military board of the Commonwealth to exchange by conveyance with the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company a new right of way through the State rifle range in Princess Anne county, and sufficient land for a station and siding, in return for the old right of way of the Norfolk Southern Railroad Company through the State rifle range; and to ratify certain acts of the military board heretofore taken in connection with the exchange herein authorized.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 157 of the acts of 1916, titled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Front Royal, Warren county, Virginia, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to amend the act entitled “an act to amend the charter of the city of Alexandria,” approved February 20, 1871, in relation to the issuance of bonds by the city of Alexandria.
An ACT to authorize the council of the town of South Boston to issue bonds of the town of South Boston in an amount not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00), and to provide the levy of a tax to pay interest on said bonds, and to retire the same as they mature.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto ten new sections, numbered 3074-a to 3074-i, both inclusive, authorizing and empowering cities and incorporated towns in this Commonwealth to acquire by lease, purchase or condemnation proceedings any land within, or (with the consent of the local authorities where such land is situated) without the limits of said cities or towns for the purpose of establishing and maintaining municipal airports or aviation landing fields, and to establish, construct, improve, equip, maintain and operate said airports or landing fields, and to provide for the procedure in cases of condemnation and the extent of title acquired; authorizing the lease by the said cities or incorporated towns of the whole or portions thereof to individuals or corporations and the operation of the same, or any part thereof, on such terms and subject to such conditions as may be provided by the local legislative body of said city or incorporated town, and the lease thereof to the government of the United States upon nominal or other rental, or without consideration for aviation, mail delivery or other aviation purposes.
An ACT to legalize and validate the acts and proceedings of the town of Waynesboro and of its officers and voters in relation to the issuance of bonds of said town of the aggregate amount of two hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars and to provide for the payment of said bonds and for the issuance of any portion of said bonds not heretofore issued.

An ACT to provide for the appointment of trial justice for every county in this State which now has or may hereafter have an area of not less than two hundred and ten, nor more than two hundred and fifty square miles and having a density of population of not less than forty, nor more than fifty-five inhabitants to the square mile.

An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Occoquan and to repeal all other acts inconsistent with this act.
