An ACT to provide for co-operative road construction between the county, magisterial districts and citizens of the county of Campbell.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4, 7, 9, 18 and 87 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Crewe, in Nottoway county, Virginia, approved March 20, 1916.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4988 of the Code of Virginia, as amended by an act approved March 16, 1920, relating to trial justices.
An ACT authorizing the city of Portsmouth to sell and convey the property in said city known as the Old Jail Lot, situated at the southeast corner of High and Washington streets, upon the consideration of one dollar and certain agreements by the purchaser in connection with the erection on said property of a modern fireproof hotel; and providing for an election for the qualified voters of said city to pass upon said sale.
An ACT to repeal an act of the general assembly of Virginia approved March 24, 1922, creating the Hampton Roads port commission, and to abolish the said commission; to create a State port authority of Virginia as an agency of the State, provide for the appointment of its members and for their compensation, and to define its powers and duties; to define the area of the port of Hampton Roads; to permit the council or other governing body of certain cities and towns within the State to appoint boards of municipal dock commissioners; to define and limit their powers; to regulate the construction, alteration, etc., of wharves, piers, etcetera, within the port area; to regulate dredging within the port area; to exempt the property and income of the port authority from taxation; to revoke all laws in conflict with this act; and to provide funds for carrying into effect the provisions of the act.
An ACT to validate all annexations of territory by cities or towns heretofore completed under the existing laws.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2, 24, 25, 37 and 44 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Farmville
An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Floyd, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith.

An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Shenandoah, and to repeal all other acts inconsistent with this act.

An ACT to refund to the city of Richmond the sum of three thousand, two hundred and thirty-three and 79/100 dollars, representing the tax paid by it on motor vehicle fuel from July 1, 1923, to December 31, 1923.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Mathews county to operate, in whole or in part, a ferry between the mainland and Gwynn’s island, or to purchase, maintain and operate the ferry now in operation between the said points.
An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to purchase the water works plant or system now operated by the Newport News Light and Water Company.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Narrows and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act

An ACT to provide that whenever any new road is hereafter opened and established in the county of Mecklenburg, and under existing law, the expenses incident thereto would be a charge on the said county, the said expenses shall be borne by the district in which the said road lies.
An ACT to authorize the town council of the town of Richlands, Virginia, to grant to any person, firm or chartered company, engaged in mining, manufacturing or merchandising, a right of way for the construction, operation and maintenance of a tramway or railway, across, upon or along any of the avenues or streets of said town, subject to such regulations as the said town council may prescribe.

An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Grundy, and to repeal all other acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to authorize the town of Martinsville, in Henry county, to hold an election in the year 1926 for the purpose of authorizing the council of said town to issue the bonds of said town under section 77 of its charter, as amended by an act, approved February & 1926.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5912 of the Code of Virginia, 1919, relating to the courts of the city of Richmond.
An ACT to authorize the town of Blackstone to erect, purchase, or otherwise acquire a municipal building to be used as a council chamber, court room, jail, house for the fire department and its equipment, mayor’s office, and other town officers, and for other municipal purposes; to authorize the said town to issue bonds in a sum not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars.
An ACT to provide for the appointment of an advisory committee to the board of supervisors of the county of Greensville and to prescribe the powers, duties, and compensation of the members of such advisory committee.
AN ACT to authorize the board of the Virginia Teachers Colleges and the council of the city of Radford to exchange certain strips of land
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter XIX of the charter of the town of Waynesboro, in relation to the public schools of the town.
An ACT to authorize, empower and require the board of supervisors of Grayson county to borrow the sum of sixty thousand ($60,000.00) dollars, and to issue bonds therefor, for the surveying, repairing, improving, constructing and hard-surfacing certain roads and bridges in Old Town magisterial district of said county
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 1014, 19 and $2 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of South Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5905 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to corporation or hustings courts.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 17 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Abingdon, Virginia, and to repeal all other acts with reference thereto, in effect January 22, 1900, as heretofore amended; and to further amend the said act by adding thereto eight new sections to be numbered 24, 25, 26. 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
An ACT to authorize co-operation on the part of the proper authorities of the State of Virginia in respect to extension into the State of Virginia of the park, parkway, playground, water, drainage and sewerage systems of the District of Columbia, and to prevent pollution of the waters of the Potomac river and to preserve forests and natural scenery in connection with such projects.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to create for the county of Norfolk a commission of roads and bridges, and to prescribe the powers and duties of such commission, and thereby to provide for controlling, constructing and keeping in repair the public roads and bridges within said county, and for acquiring, establishing, altering and vacating roads and bridges therein; and to repeal an act entitled an act for working and keeping in repair the public roads in Norfolk county
An ACT to allow the board of supervisors of Buchanan county to proceed with the construction of roads, on the payment to the clerk of the damages assessed by commissioners under section 1980, of chapter 84 of the Code, and to provide an emergency.
An ACT to validate and legalize the issuance of $85,000.00 in water bonds of the town of New Market, in the county of Shenandoah, to provide that the said bonds shall not be redeemable until the expiration of ten years from the date of issuance, that the interest on the said bonds shall be paid semi-annually, and to fix the place of payment of the said bonds and the interest thereon.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 8 of an act to incorporate the city of Danville
An ACT to provide for a commission of roads and bridges for Kempsville magisterial district, in the county of Princess Anne, and to prescribe its powers and duties.
An ACT to authorize the town of Cape Charles to borrow $70,000.00 and issue bonds therefor for the purpose of refunding outstanding notes or certificates of indebtedness.
An ACT authorizing cities of between 100,000 and 125,000 population to impose assessments upon abutting land owners for certain improvements of walkways and alleys, and for the construction and use of sewers; providing for notice and appeal.
An ACT to repeal section 3 of an act entitled an act to regulate the duties of the board of supervisors of Scott county, Virginia, and directing them to publish amount of funds received and expended by them and fixing a penalty for their failure to do so, approved March 7, 1924.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5905 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to authorize, empower and require the board of supervisors of Grayson county to borrow the sum of $30,000.00 and to issue bonds therefor for the repair, improvement and construction of certain roads and bridges in Wilson, Elk Creek and Providence magisterial districts of said county.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act for the appointment of trustees for the town of York
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 58 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the city of Newport News, in the county of Warwick, and to provide a charter therefor, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 24, 1920, by adding thereto subsection “k,” regulating the management of its waterworks.
An ACT to validate notes or certificates of indebtedness or any renewals thereof of the town of Cape Charles aggregating one hundred and eighty-nine thousand, forty-four dollars and fifty-six cents ($189,044.56), and providing for the payment thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 58 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the city of Newport News, in the county of Warwick, and to provide a charter therefor, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 24, 1920, by adding thereto subsection “k”, regulating the management of its waterworks.
An ACT to validate, ratify, approve and confirm certain bonds issued or to be issued by the town of Coeburn, Virginia, and an election held in said town on the fifteenth day of September, 1925, authorizing the issuing of said bonds providing funds for acquiring and improving a water system for said town.

An ACT to authorize the town of Cape Charles to borrow $58,000.00 and issue bonds therefor for the purpose of refunding outstanding notes or certificates of indebtedness.
An ACT to authorize the city of Hopewell to borrow money and issue bonds therefor for permanent public improvement in said city.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Vinton, Roanoke county, Virginia, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Franklin county to appoint special policemen for said county; to prescribe their compensation, and terms of office, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, insofar as they apply to the county of Franklin.
An ACT to provide for submitting to the qualified voters of the town of Potomac, in Arlington county, the question of annulling the charter of said town by repealing an act approved March 13, 1908, entitled an act to incorporate the town of Potomac, in the county of Alexandria; and to annul and repeal said charter upon a majority vote declaring against said charter, and for the assumption of all the obligations of the town of Potomac, by Jefferson magisterial district of said county.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4366 of the Code of Virginia, 1919, in relation to the exercise of the power of eminent domain and concerning the pay of commissioners.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2 and 4 of the charter of the town of Wise, in Wise county.
An ACT to confirm in the State corporation commission of Virginia the jurisdiction, powers and duties, as conferred on said commission by the Constitution and general laws of this State, with respect to the control and regulation of the street railway rates and service of any public service corporation doing a street railway business in any city in this State, having a population, according to the 1920 United States census of not less than 100,000 and not exceeding 150,000, under a franchise heretofore granted, renewed, extended or amended, or which may be hereafter granted, renewed, extended or amended by such city, notwithstanding any provision in the municipal charter of said city to the contrary or in conflict or inconsistent with this act.
An ACT to authorize the town council of the town of North Tazewell, in the county of Tazewell, to borrow money not in excess of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500.00), and to issue its bonds therefor, for the purpose of making a gift or contribution thereof to American Legion, Sidney Coulling Post, No. 133, to partially defray the cost, charges and expenses of erecting a memorial building on that lot of land located in the town of Tazewell, Tazewell county, Virginia, and mentioned in chapter No. 64 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, enacted in 1926, and to provide for the payment of the interest on the said bonds and the payment and redemption of the principal thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 19, 20, 21 of an act entitled an act to provide a charter and special form of government for the city of Norfolk, and to repeal the existing charter of sail city, approved March 14, 1906, and the several acts amendatory thereof, approved respectively March 12, 1908, March 14 908, March 7, 1912, March 13, 1912, March 13, 1914, March 17, 1914, March 24, 1914, March 25, 1914, March 25, 1914, February §, 1915, March 4, 1916, March 11, 1916, March 16, 1916, March 17, 1916, March 20, 1916, March 20, 1916, and March 20, 1916, and all other acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act so far as they relate to the said city of Norfolk, approved February 7, 1918.
An ACT to create “the Norfolk-Portsmouth-Norfolk county bridge authority,” and to define the powers and duties of such authority.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 231 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, relative to the time of commencement of the regular terms of the circuit court of the twenty-eighth judicial circuit
An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to borrow a sum not exceeding forty thousand dollars and issue bonds therefor, to be used for the purchase of municipal equipment for said city.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act of the general assembly entitled “an act to provide a new charter for the town of Narrows, and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act,” approved March 24, 1620, as last amended by chapter 165 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 303, relating to the police justice of said town.
An ACT to provide for the recordation of plats of subdivision of land located in or within not more than five miles of any city of a population not in excess of 100,000, according to the last United States census, for the vacation thereof, for the construction of public improvements therein and for the rights of such cities in connection therewith.
An ACT to provide for a special police force for the county of Fairfax, appointment and compensation.
An ACT to create Arlington sanitary district, which shall include the entire county of Arlington; to create the “Arlington board of public works,” to define the powers and duties of said board; to invest said board with the power of eminent domain; to provide for the division of said sanitary district into zones, or sections; to provide for the purchase, construction, maintenance, operation and control of drainage and sewerage systems and sewerage disposal plants or works: for the construction of sidewalks: for the issuance of bonds to raise funds for such purposes; for the assessment of abutting property owners with certain amounts to be used in the construction and use of sewers and sidewalks; for the fixing and regulation of service and other charges for the connection with and use of sewers; for the pay of members, officers and employees; to prescribe penalties for violations: and to repeal chapter 260 of the acts of assembly of 1922, page 445, and chapter 463 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 754, chapter 315 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 531, and chapter 294 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 510, in so far as it is applicable to the county of Arlington, and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with any of the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 233 of the Acts of 1901, entitled, an act to authorize the town of Abingdon to take control of the hall in said town, known as Temperance Hall, and to provide for repairing and enlarging the same
An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to borrow eighty thousand dollars and to issue bonds therefor to be used by said city in making public improvements in territory annexed to the city of Newport News, under provisions of section 2958 of the Code of Virginia, as amended by act of assembly of Virginia, 1924, chapter 441.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 32a of the charter of the city of Portsmouth, approved March 13, 1912, as amended by an act approved February 23, 1918, in reference to the issue of bonds.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Norfolk to borrow money by the issuance of bonds in a sum no to exceed one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for the purpose of building and improving roads and bridges in the said county, and to sell the said bonds and to provide for their payment, and to authorize the commission of roads and bridges to expend the said funds when appropriated to it by the said board of supervisors.
An ACT fixing the annual compensation of the board of supervisors
An ACT to create a commission to examine records and papers in the offices of the comptroller, auditor of public accounts, State treasurer, and the State librarian, and to order the destruction of such as are not necessary to be kept as perpetual records.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 7 of chapter 273 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, entitled an act to provide a charter for the town of Lexington, approved April 28, 1874.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 24 of chapter 111 of an act of the general assembly of Virgimia, approved March 10, 1908, entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city of Portsmouth.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact the charter of the town of Culpeper, approved January 11, 1898, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Dickenson to borrow a sum of money not exceeding $12,000.00 and to issue bonds or certificates of indebtedness of the said county therefor, for the purpose of constructing and repairing the bridges in Willis magisterial district of said county; and to provide for the payment of the interest upon said
An ACT to repeal chapter 252 of the acts of assembly of 1884, entitled ‘an act to provide for working of roads in the counties of Chesterfield, Powhatan and Goochland,” and all acts amendatory thereof, in so far as the same applies to the county of Powhatan, the same not to become effec- tive until approved by the people in an election to be held for the purpose.
