An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 3222, 3223 as heretofore amended, and 3226 of the Code of Virginia, relating to oyster inspectors and assignment of planting grounds.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3541 of the Code of Virginia, relating to damages for trespass by animals; forfeiture, etc.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 204 of the Tax Code of Virginia, relating to veterinary surgeons’ licenses.
An ACT to provide for the supervision, regulation and control of the production, processing, transportation, storage, distribution, and sale of milk and cream; to create a Milk Commission and local milk boards and to define and provide for the functions, duties and powers thereof; to provide for the appointment, suspension, removal, compensation, costs, and expenses of such commission and boards and the members, officers, agents and employees thereof; to provide for licensing processors, bottlers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers of milk and cream, or either; to provide for the raising of funds for the administration of this act and to provide for the disposition of revenue collected hereunder and to impose penalties for violations of the provisions of this act.
An ACT to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending respectively on the thirtieth day of June, 1935, and the thirtieth day of June, 1936.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Pittsylvania county to lease and turn over to the State of Virginia, the county poor farm of said county to be used by the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries for the purpose of propagation and preservation of game birds, game animals and fish, and ratifying and confirming all former action taken by the said board relating thereto.
An ACT to authorize the Director of the Division of Markets, with the approval of the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration, to co-operate with Federal officials, national, district and State committees and supervisory bodies in establishing and enforcing codes and marketing agreements adopted under the Federal Agricultural Adjustment Act and amendments thereto and other similar Acts of Congress; to make agreements for carrying out the provisions of this act and the Federal Agricultural Adjustment Act and amendments thereto and other similar Acts of Congress; to appoint, supervise and dismiss inspectors and representatives for carrying out the purposes of this act; to receive fees and moneys for carrying out the purposes of this act and to provide for the distribution thereof; to adopt and make effective any or all codes and agreements approved by Federal officials under the Agricultural Adjustment Act and acts amendatory thereto and similar Acts of Congress; to provide that such code or marketing agreement when approved by the Governor shall become effective in intrastate commerce in this State; and to prescribe penalties for violations of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1259 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to bonds of commission merchants.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to regulate the grading and marking of apples in closed packages; to authorize the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration to establish and promulgate official standard grades for apples and rules and regulations governing the marking of the same; to provide for the inspection of apples; the appointment of inspectors and their compensation; to prohibit violations of this act and to prescribe penalties therefor, approved April 18, 1927.
An ACT to define the terms “milk,” “cream” and “pasteurized milk”; to fix and define the grades thereof; to prohibit the sale or dispensing of milk or cream not of certain standards; to regulate the production and handling of milk and cream; to provide for issuing permits and for the revocation of such permits; to provide penalties for violations; and to repeal section 1211-A to 1211-I, both inclusive, of the Code of Virginia, and all other acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act.
An ACT to make it unlawful for any person to have imported into, or to have in possession in this State, any unopened oysters other than the species known as Ostrea Virginia, and to prescribe penalties for violations
An ACT to prohibit misrepresentation of the grade, quality and con- dition of agricultural and other products and commodities; and to prescribe penalties for violation of the provisions of this act.

An ACT to release the United States of America, and any contractor therefor or agent thereof, from any and all claims for damages to the oyster and other public interests of the Commonwealth of Virginia by reason of the dredging and maintenance, by the United States or any such contractor or agent of, including the deposit of material in connection with, a navigable channel in and from Back river into and in Wallace creek, Elizabeth City county, Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 60 of the Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code of Virginia, in relation to defining the word “poultry.”
An ACT to prohibit any and all institutions owned and operated by the State of Virginia from selling or exchanging seed corn to be used for agricultural purposes in the State of Virginia, unless to such institution or institutions as may be entirely owned and operated by the State of Virginia and entirely supported by State funds.
An ACT to provide for the establishment, maintenance and operation of a tannery at the State Penitentiary Farm, and to provide funds therefor.
An ACT to permit persons, associations, partnerships, or corporations of the State of Virginia to borrow funds from production credit associations, regional agricultural credit corporation, banks for cooperatives, or the government of the United States or any department, agency or officer thereof, federal intermediate credit banks or any institution which has made arrangements to discount therewith or to procure funds therefrom on the security of the obligation of the borrower and providing a means of securing said loans
An ACT to prohibit the use of the word “certified” or other like word or form of words in advertising or selling of certain seeds, tubers and plants in the State of Virginia unless inspected and certified as provided for in this act; to provide for such inspection and certification and the expenses incident thereto; and to prescribe penalties.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 626 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to the establishment of industrial, agricultural, household arts and commercial schools by the State Board of Education so as to include hand crafts and domestic arts.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 7 of an act entitled “An act to provide for licensing dealers in motor fuel; to require certain reports by such dealers and certain other persons; to levy a tax upon motor fuel; to provide for its collection; to appropriate the revenue raised by the same; to prescribe penalties for violations; and to repeal an act of the General Assembly entitled an act to levy a tax upon motor vehicle fuel; to provide for its collection; to appropriate revenue raised by the same, and to prescribe penalties, approved March 26, 1923, and to repeal all acts amendatory thereof, and all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 23, 1932,” as heretofore amended, in relation to refunds of taxes paid on motor fuel.
An ACT to transfer to and vest in the State Board of Agriculture and Immigration, to be exercised by it through the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration and a Supervisor of Inspection of Apples and Peaches, certain powers and duties heretofore conferred and imposed by law upon the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration, the Division of Markets, the Director of the Division of Markets, and the State Board of Agriculture and Immigration, and to provide compensation for the said supervisor and other necessary inspectors and employees and the expenses incident to carrying out the provisions of this act.
An ACT to prohibit the use of hooks, snaps, or other fastener or device of metal in attaching cards, labels or tickets to bags or sacks containing feed-stuff for livestock, and to provide penalties.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section numbered 871l-a, providing for the inspection of potatoes and other farm products by the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration; and to repeal an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitléd an act to create and maintain a State board of crop pest commissioners, and to define its duties and powers
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 1110, 1111, 1112, and 1120 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to fertilizers.
An ACT to provide for the supervision and regulation of the sale, marketing and distribution of tobacco; to create a tobacco commission and provide for local tobacco committeemen and other agencies and employees, and to define and to provide for their functions, duties and powers; to provide for the appointment, suspension, removal, compensation, costs and expenses of said commission, and of committeemen, agencies and employees thereof; to provide for the raising of funds for the administration of this act and for the disposition of the revenue hereunder; to provide a fund to compensate tobacco growers for crop failures and losses from fire; to impose penalties for violation of this act and to provide for the establishment of a compact and agreement between the Commonwealth of Virginia and certain other states for the purpose of regulating and controlling commerce in tobacco in and between the Commonwealth of Virginia and each of such states.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 1, 2, 3, 5 and 15 of an act entitled an act concerning agricultural seeds, and to repeal sections 1138 to 1153, both inclusive, of the Code of Virginia, approved March 7, 1924, as heretofore amended, and to repeal section 4 of the said act.
An ACT to authorize and provide for the inspection of herring in certain cases, by persons licensed or employed for the purpose, by the Director of the Division of Markets; to provide for the payment of inspection fees, and to appropriate the money derived therefrom; and to make certain certificates of inspection prima facie evidence for certain purposes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act to amend and re-enact Section 5553 of the Code of Virginia, approved March 24, 1930.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6552 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to articles which may be held exempt from levy or distress.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 885 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to red cedar trees.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1173 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to skimming stations, creameries, cheese factories, condensed milk stations, ice cream factories and milk depots, so as to require licenses for creameries, cheese plants, condensed milk plants, ice cream plants, milk distributing plants, and milk and cream buying stations, to confer certain powers on and to impose certain duties upon the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration, to provide for license fees, and to appropriate moneys received pursuant to the provisions of this section.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 153 of the Tax Code of Virginia, relating to carnivals, shows, circuses, menageries, and other like amusements, so as to prohibit certain exhibitions and performances in which agricultural products are included without the payment of license taxes therefore.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1224 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to testing cattle for tuberculosis and Bang’s disease.

An ACT to assent to and to accept certain grants of money provided for by an act of the Congress of the United States entitled, “An act to provide for research into basic laws and principles relating to agriculture and to provide for the further development of cooperative agricultural extension work and the more complete endowment and support of land-grant colleges,” approved June 29, 1935, and to appropriate funds received pursuant to the said act of the Congress of ‘the United States.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 886 of the Code of Virginia, relating to powers and duties of State entomologist as to cedar trees which harbor certain diseases.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 and to repeal Section 23% of Chapter 247, Acts 1930, relating to the Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code of Virginia.

An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 30, as heretofore amended, of an act entitled, ‘““An act concerning weights and measures, and to repeal Sections 1464 to 1470, both inclusive, and Sections 1472 to 1485, both inclusive, of the Code of Virginia”
An ACT to amend Chapter 49 of the Code of Virginia by amending and re-enacting Sections 1110 and 1111 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to registration and branding of fertilizers and to further amend said Chapter 49 of the Code of Virginia relating to the duties of the State Board of Agriculture and Immigration with reference to fertilizers and lime and products of that nature by adding a new section to said Chapter 49 of the Code of Virginia numbered 1137-1, authorizing the State Board of Agriculture and Immigration to mine, dig and grind marl in the counties of tidewater Virginia and to sell the same.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 153 of the Tax Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to carnivals, shows, circuses, menageries, and other like amusements, so as to exempt industrial arts exhibits and fairs from obtaining licenses and paying license taxes.
An ACT to release and transfer to the United States all rights and authority of the Commonwealth of Virginia, concerning wild life, except fish and oysters, within a certain area of 8,950 acres, more or less, in the county of Princess Anne, subject to certain limitations and reset
An ACT to prohibit the use of the word “certified” or other like word or form of words in advertising or selling of hatchery products, poultry breeding stock, chicks or turkey poults in the State of Virginia unless inspected and certified as provided for in this act; to provide for such inspection and certification; and to prescribe penalties.
An ACT to provide for the inspection of sweet cream and ice cream mix imported into the State of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 2 of an act entitled “An act to provide for the licensing of persons engaged in peanut picking by or with any machine; to require all such persons to keep records and make reports to commissioners of the revenue as to acreage and quantity of peanuts picked; to require commissioners of the revenue to make reports thereof to the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration; and to prescribe penalties for violations’, approved March 30, 1936, so as to eliminate certain license fees.
An ACT to declare the necessity of creating governmental subdivisions of the State, to be known as “soil conservation districts’, to engage in conserving soil resources and preventing and controlling soil erosion; to establish the State Soil Conservation Committee, and to define its powers and duties; to provide for the creation of soil conservation districts; to define the powers and duties of soil conservation districts, and to provide for the exercise of such powers, including the power to acquire property by purchase, gift, and otherwise; to empower such districts to adopt programs and regulations for the discontinuance of land-use practices contributing to soil wastage and soil erosion, and the adoption and carrying out of soil-conserving land-use practices, and to provide for the enforcement of such programs and regulations; to provide for establishing boards of adjustment in connection with land-use regulations, and to define their functions and powers; to provide for the discontinuance of such soil conservation districts; to provide for financial assistance to such soil conservation districts; to appropriate funds for the purpose of effectuating the provisions of this act; and for other purposes.
An ACT to prohibit the importation into, or breeding within, the counties of Rappahannock and Culpeper, any German or Belgian Shepherd, or any other dog having one-fourth or more of the blood of either of them; to require persons now owning any such dog within said county to procure from the county treasurer a special license therefor; to prescribe the tax on such license; and to prescribe penalties for violations of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1215 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to ice cream and other frozen products.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 3159, 3176, 3177, 3178 and 3179 of the Code of Virginia, relating to licenses to take or catch fish for certain purposes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 5540 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, in relation to emblements and the protection of lessees.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 17, as amended, of Chapter 342 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1932, approved March 26, 1932, and known, designated and cited as the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, relating to registration cards and certificates of title, so as to prevent transfers of and noting liens on certificates of title to motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers which have been levied on and seized by officers.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1257, 1258, 1260, 1261, 1263, 1264, and 1265 of the Code of Virginia as heretofore amended, relating to licensing, bonding, and regulating commission merchants.
An ACT to create a commission for the purpose of procuring, transporting, and exhibiting the products and natural resources of Virginia at the Golden Gate International Exposition, San Francisco, California in 1939; to prescribe the powers and duties of the said commission.
An ACT to authorize boards of supervisors or other governing bodies in counties to divide the area of counties in the unincorporated portions thereof into one or more districts; to regulate the use of lands and of buildings and other structures; to provide the locations of those areas which may be used as places of residence or in which agriculture, forestry, trade, industry or other specific uses, may be conducted, the height, bulk and size of buildings or other structures, the percentage of land area which may be occupied, and the minimum sizes of yards, courts or other open spaces; to provide for amendments and changes therein; to require county planning commissions to perform certain duties with reference thereto; to permit cooperation between political subdivisions, State and Federal agencies and officials thereof; to permit the appointment and prescribe the powers and duties of county boards of zoning appeals; to provide that this act shall not apply to certain counties heretofore authorized to regulate the use of land and the construction and use of buildings and structures therein; to provide for the enforcement of this act; and to provide penalties for violation of this act.
An ACT to fix the open season for hunting squirrels in the county of Halifax, and to provide that squirrels may be shot in said county at any time when damaging crops, by landowners and certain other persons.
An ACT to provide for the protection and promotion of the bee industry in Virginia; to provide for the appointment of a State Apliarist and bee inspectors ; to define the powers and duties of the State Entomologist, State Apiarist and bee inspectors under the provisions of this act; to prescribe penalties; and to repeal Chapter 444 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1924, approved March 21, 1924.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 395 of the Tax Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to delinquent State taxes.
An ACT to revise, consolidate, amend and codify the laws of Virginia, relating to the appointment of a State veterinarian and assistant veterinarians, and the prevention, control and eradication of contagious and infectious diseases of livestock and poultry; to prescribe penalties for violations; and to that end, to repeal Sections 907 to 920, both inclusive, Section 920-a, and Sections 1224, 1225 and 1227, of the Code of Virginia, as amended, all of which relate to the subjects above mentioned, and to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto fourteen new sections numbered Sections 907 to 920, both inclusive, relating to the same subjects.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled “An act to establish and to provide for the maintenance and operation, under the management, direction and control of the authorities of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, of a nautical school for merchant marine training, to confer certain express powers and duties upon the said authorities with respect to such school, to permit them to accept gifts and loans and other aid in the maintenance of the said school, and to provide for the practical training of the students attending the same”
An ACT to appropriate the sum of $220,000.00, or so much thereof as may be required, for the biennium beginning July 1, 1938, for the purpose of paying retirement compensation to judges of the Supreme Court of Appeals, and of other courts of record, and to members of the State Corporation Commission, who may retire, and to supplement other appropriations made for the purpose of paying salaries of such judges and of members of the said commission.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1173 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to creameries, cheese plants, condensed milk plants, ice cream plants, milk distributing plants, and milk and cream buying stations, so as to provide records for proof of payments made for cream and to provide for revocations of licenses for violation of any of the provisions of this section.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled 'An act to lay off, designate, and survey the natural oyster rocks, beds, and shoals in Nomini and Currioman bays, in the county of Westmoreland, and to include the same in the original geodetic survey of the natural oyster rocks, beds and shoals of the Commonwealth'
An ACT to enable the Commonwealth of Virginia to take advantage of an Act of Congress of the United States, approved September 2, 1937, entitled “An act to provide that the United States shall aid the States in wildlife-restoration projects, and for other purposes”
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 5553 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to the rate of interest allowed to bankers, brokers, corporations and agricultural credit corporations or associations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1 and 7 of an_act entitled “An act concerning agricultural seeds, and to repeal sections 1138 to 1153, both inclusive, of the Code of Virginia”, approved March 7, 1924, as heretofore amended, and to further amend said act by adding thereto a new section numbered 7-a, prohibiting the sale or distribution of certain seeds.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1196 of the Code of Virginia, relating to adulteration of products made from cereal grains.
An ACT to amend Chapter 83 of the Virginia Code of 1936 (Michie) relating to the State Highway Commission and System, by adding thereto three new sections numbered 1969-e (2), 1969-e (3) and 1975-a (1), and to enact said three new sections into law, all of said sections relating to the State Highway Commission, its powers and duties, and the regulation of the use of the highways
An ACT to regulate the distribution and sale of milk and cream, to define and fix standards for said milk and cream, to provide for bio-assays of certain milk, and to provide for the payment for such assays, and for the disposition of funds collected.

An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section numbered 5202-a prescribing how valid liens may be obtained on certain livestock and poultry, providing for the method of filing and docketing such liens, and validating certain mortgages, chattel mortgages and deeds of trust, heretofore executed, embracing livestock and poultry, or either.
An ACT to authorize the Virginia Conservation Commission, with the approval of the Governor and subject to certain conditions and restrictions, to lease to any responsible organization or group of individuals all or any part of certain lands, with improvements and appurtenances, in Fairfax County, Virginia, known as Washington’s Old Mill.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1132, 1133, 1134, as heretofore amended, 1135, 1136 and 1137 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the registration, inspection, analysis, offering for sale and sale of agricultural lime so as, among other purposes, to make the same applicable to liming materials.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 5553 of the Code of Virginia, relating to loans by, and the rate of interest allowed to bankers, brokers and certain other corporations and associations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3 of an act entitled ‘An act to authorize and provide for a voluntary inspection service for agricultural products; to constitute certificates issued under this act or under authority of the Congress of the United States prima facie evidence in courts of this Commonwealth; and to repeal Section 1471 of the Code of Virginia, as amended by an Act approved March 15, 1920.’
An ACT to ratify and validate, for all purposes, an issue of $750,000 of certificates of indebtedness of the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute, at Blacksburg, issued pursuant to the provisions of Section 58 of Chapter 428 (the Appropriation Act) of the Acts of 1938, which are now owned and held as a part of the State Literary Fund, to authorize the sale of same to the general public by the State Board of Education, and to validate and re-enact all of the provisions of said Section 58.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1110, 1111, 1112 and 1120 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to the registration, branding, analysis and sale of fertilizers, and penalties for violations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 19-f, as heretofore amended, of an act entitled ‘‘An act to revise, simplify, arrange and consolidate into one act the general game, inland fish and dog statutes of Virginia, which act shall constitute and be designated and cited as ‘The Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code of Virginia’.”
An ACT to prohibit the State Highway Commission and the State Highway Commissioner from planting or causing to be planted certain plants or weeds on State highway rights of way, to require the said Commission to cause such of said plants or weeds as have been heretofore so planted or caused to be planted to be destroyed, and to authorize certain landowners to destroy or cause to be destroyed certain plants and weeds growing on State highway rights of way.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3216 of the Code of Virginia, a heretofore amended, relating to inspection, measurement and loading of, and tax on oysters, and prescribing penalties.
An Act to amend and re-enact Sections 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 13 and 14 of an act entitled ‘An Act to regulate outdoor advertising outside of the corporate limits of cities and incorporated towns in sight of public highways; to provide for licensing persons engaged in the business of outdoor advertising and for the issuance of permits for advertisements and advertising structures; to prohibit certain advertisements and advertising structures and to provide for the removal of advertisements and advertising structures illegally posted, displayed, erected, used or maintained; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain officers relating thereto; and to prescribe penalties for violations of this act.’
An ACT to provide for the regulation and control of the manufacture, sale, advertising of and traffic in, certain dog food; to define adulterated, misbranded and unlabeled dog food, and to prohibit the manufacture, and sale of and traffic in such dog food; to confer upon the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration certain powers and duties with respect to certain dog food; and to provide penalties for the violation of certain provisions of this act.
An Act to amend and re-enact an act entitled 'An Act to prohibit the importation into, or breeding within, the counties of Rappahannock, Russell and Culpeper, any German or Belgian Shepherd, or any other dog having one-fourth or more of the blood of either of them; to require persons now owning any such dog within said county to procure from the county treasurer a special license therefor; to prescribe the tax on such license; and to prescribe penalties for violations of this act.'
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section numbered 549-a, to provide for the natural reseeding of pine on certain forest land from which timber has been cut
An ACT to authorize the use of an outline map of the State of Virginia on agricultural and other food products; to prescribe its use; to vest certain powers with reference thereto in the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration and the Director of the Division of Markets; and to prescribe penalties for the violation of this act.
An ACT to authorize and direct the State Board of Agriculture and Immigration to acquire land in the county of Rockingham and to establish thereon and maintain and operate a laboratory for the diagnosis of diseases of livestock and poultry and for other purposes, to appropriate funds to carry out the provisions of this Act, and to prescribe the conditions under which such appropriation shall become available.
An ACT to provide for the creation of produce market authorities in certain cities; to prescribe the rights, powers, functions and duties of such authorities and of the officers, agents and employees of such authorities; to prescribe with reference to such authorities certain exceptions and limitations with respect to licenses and taxes; and to prescribe the powers and duties of certain officers with respect to such authorities.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 2 of an act entitled ‘An Act to define motor vehicle carriers and transportation brokers; to provide for the regulation, supervision, and control of persons, firms, corporations, and associations, owning, controlling, operating, or managing motor vehicles used for the transportation of persons or property for compensation on the public highways of this State, and of transportation brokers; to provide for the regulation of the rates thereof; to provide for and/or regulate and/or control the operation of, and the charges, rates, or services imposed by any person, firm, or corporation operating motor vehicles for compensation over the highways of this State; to provide for the enforcement of this act, and for the punishment of violations thereof; and to repeal Chapter 359 of the Acts of 1932, and all statutes and/or acts, or parts of statutes and/or acts, in conflict with the provisions of this act,’ approved March 9, 1936, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 2 of an act entitled ‘An act to provide for the supervision, regulation and control of the production, processing, transportation, storage, distribution, and sale of milk and cream; to create a Milk Commission and local milk boards and to define and provide for the functions, duties and powers thereof; to provide for the appointment, suspension, removal, compensation, costs, and expenses of such commission and boards and the members, officers, agents and employees thereof; to provide for licensing processors, bottlers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers of milk and cream, or either; to provide for the raising of funds for the administration of this act and to provide for the disposition of revenue collected hereunder and to impose penalties for violations of the provisions of this act,’ approved March 29, 1934, relating to the appointment, qualifications, compensation and functions of the Milk Commission.
An ACT to prohibit the purchase of livestock when delivered to the purchaser in motor vehicles in certain cases, to require purchasers of such livestock to keep certain records, and to prescribe penalties for violations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 6 of an act entitled ‘An act tc provide for the supervision, regulation and control of the production, processing transportation, storage, distribution, and sale of milk and cream; to create a Milk Commission and local milk boards and to define and provide for the functions, duties and powers thereof: to provide for the appointment, suspension. removal, compensation, costs, and expenses of such commission and boards and the members, officers, agents and employees thereof; to provide for licensing processors, bottlers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers of milk and cream, or either; to provide for the raising of funds for the administration of this act and to provide for the disposition of revenue collected hereunder and to impose penalties for violations of the provisions of this act,' approved March 29, 1934, so as to provide for appeals to certain courts of the Commonwealth from the orders and decisions of the Milk Commission in certain cases, and to prescribe the procedure therefor and the incidents thereof.
AN ACT TO AMEND AND RE-ENACT SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 14, 19, 21 AND 30 OF AN ACT ENTITLED 'AN ACT TO ENCOURAGE THE COOPERATIVE MARKETING OF FARM PRODUCTS IN VIRGINIA, TO PROVIDE FOR AND AUTHORIZE THE INCORPORATION OF COOPERATIVE MARKETING ASSOCIATIONS OR EXCHANGES AND THE LICENSING TO DO BUSINESS IN VIRGINIA OF SIMILAR CORPORATIONS CREATED IN OTHER STATES UNDER SIMILAR LAWS.'
An ACT to fix the number of terms of the circuit courts of the Thirty-third judicial circuit, and to authorize the judge of such courts to fix the days for the commencement of the said terms.
An ACT to authorize counties, cities and towns to acquire lands for the growth of trees and to administer the same, as well as lands now owned by them, as public forests; and to authorize the Virginia Conservation Commission to furnish certain nursery stock and technical assistance to such counties, cities and towns under certain conditions.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1207 and 1208 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the inspection of milk and cream, so as to require license for sampling and weighing milk or cream as a basis of determining the value of same in buying or selling.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 910, 915, 916 and 918 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the functions, powers and duties of the State veterinarian and assistant veterinarians, and to the prevention, control and eradication of contagious and infectious diseases of live stock and poultry, and prescribing penalties for certain violations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Sections 1 and 10 of an act entitled ‘An act to define the terms ‘milk’ and ‘cream’ and ‘pasteurized milk’; to fix and define the grades thereof; to prohibit the sale or dispensing of milk or cream not of certain standards; to regulate the production and handling of milk and cream; to provide for issuing permits and for the revocation of such permits; to provide penalties for violations; and to repeal Section 1211-A to 1211-1, both inclusive, of the Code of Virginia, and all other acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act.’
An Act to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending respectively on the thirtieth day of June, 1941, and the thirtieth day of June, 1942, to prescribe the provisos, terms, conditions and provisions with respect to the items of appropriation, and their payment, and to repeal all acts wholly in conflict with this act, and all parts of all acts inconsistent with this act to the extent of such inconsistency.
An ACT to prevent the pollution and discoloration of streams in the counties of Bath and Highland by the deposit therein of certain substances; and to authorize the issuance of injunctions to restrain any such pollution or discoloration at the instance of persons injured or affected thereby.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1173 of the Code of Virginia, relating to licenses for and records and reports of certain creameries, cheese plants, condensed milk plants, ice cream plants, milk distributing plants, and milk and cream buying stations, so as to provide for revocation of licenses for certain violations of the provisions of this section.
