An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Title 3 a chapter numbered 6.1 consisting of sections numbered 3-44.1 through 3-44.8 relating to the Extension Division within the Virginia Polytechnic Institute; its functions; an appropriation therefor and the uses thereof; authorizing localities to appropriate money therefor; the duties of Virginia Polytechnic Institute to select personnel and supervise work of Extension Division, and reports to be filed; reference throughout Code; and to repeal Chapter 6 of Title 3 containing sections numbered 3-40 through 3-44 of the Code of Virginia, relating to county demonstration work.
An Act to revise, rearrange, amend and recodify the general laws of Virginia relating to agriculture, horticulture and food; to that end to repeal Title 8 of the Code of Virginia, which title includes Chapters 1 to 31 and §§ 8-1 to 8-729, inclusive, of the Code of Virginia, as amended, which title relates to agriculture, horticulture and food; to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto, in lieu of the foregoing title, chapters and sections of the Code repealed by this act, a new title numbered 8.1, which title includes new chapters numbered 1 to 87, inclusive, and new sections numbered $8.1-1 to 8.1-1010, inclusive, relating to agriculture, horticulture and food; to prescribe when such revision and recodification shall become effective, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act.

An Act to amend and reenact §§ 54-80 and 54-81 as amended, of the Code of Virginia, relating to fee for examination of applicants for certificates of registration as architect, engineer or surveyor, and expiration and renewal of such certificates and fees for such renewal, so as to increase such examination fee and delete provision for refund of portion thereof if certificate not granted, and provide for biennial rather than annual renewal and adjust renewal fees accordingly.
An Act to create the Virginia Pork Industry Commission and to prescribe its powers and duties; to authorize the Commission to undertake programs to promote education and research as to the Virginia pork industry; to levy an excise tax on hogs produced in Virginia and sold for slaughter or sold as feeder pigs and provide for its collection; to create the “Virginia Pork Industry Fund” and to appropriate funds thereto; and to provide penalties for violations.
An Act to amend and reenact §§ 8-197.1, 8-197.2, 8-197.8, 3-197.4, 8-197.5, 8-197.6, 8-197.7, 8-197.10, and 8-197.11, of the Code of Virginia, relating to the musk thistle law; to define and include therein the words 'curled thistle'; to provide for the giving of certain notices and how served; to provide for when and in what method certain payments to be made; and to specify to which court appeal may be taken.
An Act to require licenses for certain surface mining operations and to fix conditions for issuance thereof; to provide that certain reclamation be performed by licensees and for inspection thereof; to authorize reclamation to be performed or contracted for by the Department of Conservation and Economic Development under certain circumstances; to create a Board of Reclamation Review and to provide for appeals from rulings of such board; to provide penalties for violations; and to create a special fund for reclamation purposes and provide for expenditures therefrom.
An Act to provide for the submission of proposed amendments to Sections 148, 145 and 146 of Article X of the Constitution of Virginia to the qualified voters for ratification or rejection, and to prescribe when and how such referendum shall be had, and the manner in which the results thereof shall be ascertained and certified, the returns canvassed, and the vote thereon proclaimed by the Governor.
