An ACT to enable the town of Virginia Beach, in Princess Anne county, Virginia, to contract with the city of Norfolk for an adequate water supply authorizing said town and said city to sell water to consumers in the county of Princess Anne, and authorizing the said town to levy a special tax on real estate and personal property for a period of ten years for the purpose of raising funds to pay interest upon the cost of constructing a pipe line from Moore’s bridge, in Princess Anne county, to the corporate limits of the town of Virginia Beach.
An ACT to authorize the convict lime board to sell and convey its plant at Irvington, including the land and the buildings and other property located thereon, and to pay the proceeds of such sale into the treasury of the State.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 27 and 38 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Woodstock and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith, and to declare all contracts and obligations heretofore or hereafter made by the present council and government of the town of Woodstock and all power heretofore or hereafter exercised by them, while in office, to be legal and valid
An ACT to raise revenue to provide increased facilities for the valuation of the properties of certain classes of public service companies for rate making purposes, and for the performance of other functions of the State corporation commission and to appropriate the revenues provided by this act for carrying out the purposes of the same.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1 of an act entitled an act imposing public duties on heat, light, power, water and telephone companies and providing for the control and regulation of such companies by the State corporation commission, approved March 27, 1914, as amended by an act approved March 23, 1918.
An ACT to provide for the centralized purchasing of all materials, equipment, and supplies of every description, the whole or a part of the costs thereof is to be paid out of the State treasury, with certain exceptions; to continue the State purchasing commission, heretofore created, and the State purchasing agent, heretofore designated, and to prescribe the powers and duties of the said commission and agent; to prescribe penalties; to establish an advisory standardization board; and to repeal an act entitled an act to create a State purchasing commission, to provide for and designate a State purchasing agent, and to prescribe the powers and duties of the said purchasing commission and purchasing agent, approved March 15, 1920.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2757 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to authorize the State highway commission to expend, out of the funds allocated for the construction of the State highway system, such sum of money as may be necessary for the purpose of purchasing ferries, equipment and other things necessary for the operation of ferries connecting State highways; and to provide for the collection and disposition of ferriage.
An ACT to protect the health of the inhabitants of cities and incorporated towns and to protect their property against fire by requiring public service corporations engaged in the business of furnishing water or sewerage facilities to such cities and towns or their inhabitants, to provide at a reasonable charge an adequate supply and service and to make such extensions of service as may be necessary for the protection of the health of such inhabitants and to provide for the enforcement of such public duties where such public service corporations are unable or shall fail or refuse to perform the same.

An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Clintwood in the county of Dickenson to borrow a sum of money, not in excess of $30,000.00, and to issue the bonds of the said town therefor, for the purpose of constructing a water supply system and sewerage system, and for the purpose of improving the streets in the said town, and requiring the said council to annually levy a tax upon all property subject to local taxation in the said town, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT authorizing cities of between 100,000 and 125,000 population to impose assessments upon abutting land owners for certain improvements of walkways and alleys, and for the construction and use of sewers; providing for notice and appeal.
An ACT to provide for the issuance of county bonds for constructing and operating water supply systems in the magisterial districts of certain counties of the State; to provide for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity, and to provide for the construction and operation of such water supply systems.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 39 of an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and public free schools, and to pay the interest on the public debt, and to provide a special tax for pensions as authorized by section 189 of the Constitution, approved April 16, 1903, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to authorize the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia, to borrow a sum of money not to exceed one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars, and issue bonds therefor, to cover the cost of improvements and additions to the water system of said city.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 58 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the city of Newport News, in the county of Warwick, and to provide a charter therefor, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 24, 1920, by adding thereto subsection “k,” regulating the management of its waterworks.

An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Boydton, in the county of Mecklenburg, to borrow a sum of money, not in excess of $40,000.00, and to issue bonds of said town therefor, for the purpose of acquiring property, if necessary, and constructing a water system or sewerage system, or both; and to provide for the payment of the interest on said bonds, and the redemption of the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending, respectively, on the 28th day of February, 1929, and the 28th day of February, 1930.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3064 of the Code of Virginia, relating to contracts of cities and towns for sewerage, et cetera, in order to bring within its terms certain counties.
An ACT to create Arlington sanitary district, which shall include the entire county of Arlington; to create the “Arlington board of public works,” to define the powers and duties of said board; to invest said board with the power of eminent domain; to provide for the division of said sanitary district into zones, or sections; to provide for the purchase, construction, maintenance, operation and control of drainage and sewerage systems and sewerage disposal plants or works: for the construction of sidewalks: for the issuance of bonds to raise funds for such purposes; for the assessment of abutting property owners with certain amounts to be used in the construction and use of sewers and sidewalks; for the fixing and regulation of service and other charges for the connection with and use of sewers; for the pay of members, officers and employees; to prescribe penalties for violations: and to repeal chapter 260 of the acts of assembly of 1922, page 445, and chapter 463 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 754, chapter 315 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 531, and chapter 294 of the acts of assembly of 1926, page 510, in so far as it is applicable to the county of Arlington, and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with any of the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of chapter 392 of the acts of assembly of 1924, known as the centralized purchasing law, as amended.
An ACT declaring the control of the Commonwealth over the -:vaters
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5 of an act entitled an act to create a State highway commission; to provide for a chairman thereof; and to prescribe the powers, duties and the compensation of the commission and chairman; and to provide for a State highway commissioner; to create road construction districts; to provide for the apportionment among them of road construction funds, and to provide for road construction, improvement, maintenance and preservation, also to repeal sections 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1974 and 1975 of the Code of Virginia, and to repeal an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to establish a State highway commission; to define its powers and duties; the term of office, salary and qualifications of the commissioner; to authorize the commission to call into consultation the professors of engineering in certain State institutions, and appropriating money to carry the provisions of this act into effect, approved March 6, 1900; to provide for the appointment of a commission, and fixing their term of office; and to repeal all other sections of the Code and acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act, approved March 24, 1922, section 5 of which was heretofore amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 21, 1924, and further amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 17, 1926.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of an act approved March 24, 1924, which appears as chapter 477 on page 761 of the acts of the general assembly of 1924, relating to the inspection of gasoline.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to protect the health of the inhabitants of cities and incorporated towns and to protect their property against fire by requiring public service corporations engaged in the business of furnishing water or sewerage facilities to such cities and towns or their inhabitants, to provide at a reasonable charge, an adequate supply and service, and to make such extensions of service as may be necessary for the protection of the health of such inhabitants, and to provide for the enforcement of such public duties where such public service corporations are unable or shall fail or refuse to perform the same, approved March 21, 1924, so as to make the same apply to counties having a population more than five hundred inhabitants per square mile.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section thirteen of the charter of the town of Bedford, as heretofore amended.
An ACT requiring railroads to establish telegraph stations along their lines, prescribing powers of the State corporation commission with reference thereto, and imposing penalties for violations.
