An Act providing for the organization of a Parking Authority as a public body and body politic and corporate by the city of Alexandria in the Commonwealth of Virginia; authorizing and empowering the Authority to acquire, construct, reconstruct, equip, improve, extend, enlarge, maintain, repair and operate off-street parking facilities; providing for the issuance of revenue bonds of the Parking Authority, payable solely from revenues; to pay all or any part of the cost of such parking facilities; granting to the Authority power to acquire necessary real and personal property and to exercise the power of eminent domain; providing for the imposition and collection of rates, rentals, fees and charges for the use of land for the services furnished by the parking facilities; authorizing the issuance of revenue refunding bonds; exempting from taxation and assessment such bonds and the parking facilities and the income therefrom; and prescribing the powers and duties of the Authority in connection with the foregoing and the rights and remedies of the holders of any bonds issued under the provisions of this act.
An Act to amend and reenact § 8, as amended, of Chapter 194 of the Acts of Assembly of 1984, approved March 27, 1984, which provided a new charter for the town of Lawrenceville, Virginia, so as to provide that the town may levy taxes to meet obligations imposed by certain bond issues.
An Act to amend and reenact § 2 of Chapter 328 of the Acts of Assembly of 1946, approved March 27, 1946, which provided a new charter for the town of Pearisburg, so as to increase the salary which can be paid to a member of the council.
AN ACT to amend and reenact §§ 7, as amended, and 67, 78, 77 and 112 of Chapter 84 of the Acts of Assembly of 1918, approved February 7, 1918, as amended, which chapter provided a charter and special form of government for the City of Norfolk, and which sections, respectively, relate to vacancies in the council, the annual budget, money in fund, the city purchasing agent, and rules of the civil service commission; and to amend said chapter by adding thereto four sections to be numbered 2 (e), 2(f), 74(a) and 75(a), relating, respectively, to penalties for violation of ordinances, city jail, supplementing the salary of the city treasurer, and supplementing the salary of the commissioner of the revenue.
An Act to amend and reenact 8§ 3.01, 3.08, 8.04, 8.05 as amended, 4.01, as amended, 16.06, 17.10 as amended, and 20.02 as amended of Chapter 328 of the Acts of Assembly of 1950, approved April 4, 1950, which provided a charter for the city of Falls Church; to amend said chapter by adding a section numbered 8.06, the amended and new sections relating, respectively, to the conduct of municipal elections, vacancies in the office of councilman, election of certain city officers, composition of council, the advisory board of recreation and parks, zoning powers of council, the school board, and election of the city attorney; and to repeal § 10.05 as amended of said chapter relating to time and manner of election of the city attorney.

An Act to amend Chapter 157 of the Acts of Assembly of 1908, approved March 10, 1908, which provided a new charter for the city of Portsmouth, by adding a section numbered 28-f, to empower the city of Portsmouth to acquire title to property or any interest or estate therein by condemnation proceedings upon the deposit in the court having jurisdiction for each parcel the funds necessary to compensate owners thereof for such property to be acquired or damaged.
