An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 494 of the acts of assembly of Virginia of 1926, authorizing co-operation on the part of the proper authorities of the State of Virginia in respect to construction of boulevards or highways in the State of Virginia, or widening or improving existing highways of the United States government.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 136 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to the filling of vacancies in certain city, town and district offices
An ACT to require the treasurer of the county of Page to deposit all county and district funds coming into his hands in depositaries selected by him, and to provide for the disposal of the interest on said deposits.

An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 180 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, session of 1918, as amended, relating to the establishment of homes for the care and maintenance of the poor, by adding thereto a new section to be numbered. section 11 and changing the existing section 11 to section 12.

An ACT to provide a method for incorporating Arlington county into a city of the first class, to be known and designated as the city of Arlington; to prescribe a form of government for said city, and provide for organization thereunder; to designate the courts to have jurisdiction thereover; and to designate the officers of said city and fix their terms of office.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4 (26), 7, 18, 28 (a), (d), 31 (e), (h), 40, 50 (a), (d), and 56, of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city of Bristol, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith, approved March 19, 1920, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to authorize the councils of cities and boards of super- visors of counties to make appropriations for the relief of police officers totally and permanently disabled by injury received in the line of duty.
AN ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section, numbered section 644-a, relating to who may be chosen members of a county school board, and to repeal chapter 499 of the acts of assembly of 1928.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 835 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the appointment of the board of visitors for the Virginia Military Institute.
An ACT to authorize the governor of Virginia to lend to Williamsburg, Incorporated, the old speaker’s chair and the “warming machine” which were, before the removal of the State capitol to Richmond, a part of the furniture of the capitol at Williamsburg, upon the complete restoration of the old capitol building, at Williamsburg.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act to create the city of Hopewell, in the county of Prince George; to provide temporary and permanent officers for its organization and management and to authorize the assessment and collection of revenue necessary for the permanent improvement and government of said city
An ACT to amend chapter 141 of the acts of assembly of 1875, entitled an act to incorporate the town of Glade Spring, in the county of Washington, by adding thereto three new sections, to be numbered 8, 9 and 10.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of visitors of the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind to sell and convey a farm belonging to said school, commonly known as the Vincent property.
An ACT to provide for the appointment of trial justice for every county in this State which now has or may hereafter have an area of not less than two hundred and ten, nor more than two hundred and fifty square miles and having a density of population of not less than forty, nor more than fifty-five inhabitants to the square mile.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 161, acts of assembly, 1928, entitled an act to amend and re-enact section 2, of chapter 180, of the acts of general assembly of Virginia, approved March 14, 1918, as amended, relating to the establishment and maintenance of a home for persons unable to care for themselves, to be known as district homes for the poor.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an act to reorganize the administration of the State government in order to secure better service, and through co-ordination and consolidation, to promote economy and efficiency in the work of the government; to create and establish or continue certain departments, divisions, offices, officers and other agencies, and to prescribe their powers and duties; to abolish certain offices, boards, commissions and other agencies, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act to the extent of such inconsistency, approved April 18, 1927.

An ACT to repeal an act entitled “an act to authorize and direct the board of supervisors of every county which alone constitutes a judicial circuit and which adjoins a city containing more than 100,000 inhabitants to fix the salary of the justice of the juvenile and domestic relations court of such county”
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 78 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to when members of the House of Delegates elected; apportionment therefor.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of an act entitled “an act to prevent unfairness, imposition or fraud in the sale or disposition of certain “securities” herein defined by requiring an inspection thereof, providing for such inspection, supervision and regulation of the business of any person, association, partnership, or corporation, engaged or intending to engage, whether as principal, broker or agent, in the sale of any such securities in the State of Virginia as may be necessary to prevent unfairness, imposition or fraud in the sale or disposition of said securities, and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof,” approved March 23, 1918, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto six new sections, numbered 2684-a to 2684-f, both inclusive, in relation to authorizing two or more adjoining counties to consolidate, and prescribing the requirements and procedure to be followed.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto six new sections, numbered 2702-a to 2702-f, both inclusive, in relation to giving two or more counties the right to employ, appoint, or elect conjointly ministerial and executive officers, after the conjoint employment, appointment, or election of such officers has been adopted, in accordance with section 110 of the Constitution of Virginia, by a majority of the qualified voters of each such counties voting in an election held for that purpose, and prescribing penalties.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 201 of the Acts of 1930, entitled an act to amend and re-enact subsection (b) of section 34 of chapter 64 of the Acts of 1922, entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city of Suffolk, and to repeal the existing charter of said city and the several acts amendatory thereof and all other acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, so far as they relate to the said city of Suffolk, approved February 25, 1922, and to add eight new and additional subsections to said section 34, to be known and designated as subsections (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h), (1) and (j), with reference to the sale of real estate delinquent for the nonpayment of city taxes, purchase by the city, redemption of land so sold, saving to persons under disability, deed to purchaser, title of purchaser, title of city, and sale for the nonpayment of local assessments, etc., approved March 22, 1930, and to add subsection (k) to the said section 34, in relation to a delinquent tax collector.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 344 of the Tax Code of Virginia, as amended by an act approved March 25, 1930, in relation to boards of equalization of real estate assessments.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an act to provide for the appointment of special justices of the peace in cities of less that 25,000 and more than twenty thousand inhabitants and in counties, to be known as judges of juvenile and domestic relations courts; to prescribe their jurisdiction, powers, duties, and compensation; and to provide for the maintenance of juvenile and domestic relations courts in such cities and in counties
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 35 and 65, as heretofore amended, of an act entitled “an act to provide a new charter for the town of Covington, in the county of Alleghany, and to repeal all other acts with reference thereto,” approved April 2, 1902, the sections here amended being in relation to the town council, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts in conflict.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section, numbered 2725-a, in relation to powers of boards of supervisors to require reports from and to inquire into official conduct of officers, and providing penalties.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding to chapter 109-a thereof fifty-six new sections numbered 2773-n 1 to 2773-n 56, both inclusive, relating to the organization and government of counties, and providing for complete forms of county organization and government different from that provided for in article VII of the Constitution of Virginia, sections 110 to 115, both inclusive thereof, to become effective in any county in Virginia when submitted to the qualified voters thereof in an election held for such purpose and approved by a majority of those voting thereon, as is authorized by section 110 of the Constitution.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 86, section 87, section 148, as heretofore amended, and section 156 of the Code of Virginia, all relating to electoral boards.
An ACT to approve and accept a deed of gift dated February 25, 1932, of the estate known as “Gunston Hall,’ formerly owned by George Mason, the author of the Virginia declaration of rights, to the Commonwealth of Virginia from Louis Hertle, subject to a life estate reserved unto the grantor, said estate to be managed and supervised according to the terms and conditions therein set forth.
An ACT to permit commissioners of accounts of either the circuit or corporation courts in cities where the office of clerk of said courts is held by the same person to act as commissioner of accounts for either of said courts, in certain cases.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 74 of the game, inland fish and dog Code of Virginia, relating to compensation for livestock and poultry and treatment of rabies.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Falls Church, in the county of Fairfax, approved March 30, 1875, as heretofore amended, said section being in relation to the town council.
An ACT to amend section 3035 of the Code of Virginia relating to pensions and group insurance in cities.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4988 of the Code of Virginia relating to trial justices, as last amended by an act approved March 24, 1930
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5985 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to exemptions from jury service.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Remington and to repeal all other acts inconsistent with this act.
An ACT for the protection of banks depositing securities with the chairman of the State highway commission or the State highway commission to secure money deposited in banks by division engineers of the department of highways going into their custody under the provisions of subsection (1) of section 10 of chapter 79 of the Acts of 1928, and for the return of securities so deposited.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 3, 20 and 31 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Bluefield, Virginia, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith
An ACT to authorize the clerk of the court of hustings for the city of Portsmouth, Virginia, to transcribe and consolidate the general indices to judgments in his office from 1858 to August 1, 1931, and to make said consolidated transcript a legal record of judgments docketed in his office.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 581 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to the establishment of the arts commission.
An ACT to validate, ratify, and confirm an order of the circuit court of Shenandoah County incorporating the town of Toms Brook, in the said county to validate the boundaries of the said town as set out in the said order, to validate an election held in pursuance of said order; all the ordinances of the council of said town and all official acts of the mayor of said town, and its council; to provide that said town shall have certain officers chosen by the council, and that the elective officers shall be elected for a term of four years instead of two years, as now provided by general law.
An ACT to present to the Honorable Harry Flood Byrd former governor of Virginia, the chair in which he sat while governor, and to allow the present governor and each succeeding governor to take with him on the expiration of his term of office the chair occupied by him.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5 of an act entitled an act making it a misdemeanor for a husband to desert or neglect his wife or for a parent to desert or neglect his children; prescribing the penalty therefor, and making provision for the apprehension and punishment of persons charged with or convicted of nonsupport; providing for the taking of recognizances, and for the forfeiture and enforcement of the same; providing for the appointment of probation officers, prescribing their duties, and powers, and repealing certain acts, approved March 27, 1918, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 656 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the duties and powers of county school boards.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2769 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to pay of supervisors
An ACT to limit and reduce the fees, allowances, commissions, salaries and other emoluments of office, which certain officers named in section 3516 o of the Code of Virginia may receive for and during the year beginning January 1, 1933, and ending December 31, 1933; to require such officers to make statements and reports of their collections and expenses; and to require such officers to pay a portion of the fees, allowances, commissions, salaries, and other emoluments of office collected and received by them during the said year into the treasury of the State and/or of the counties and cities thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6020 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to provide for the sending of certain land books to the Virginia State Library.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2724 of the Code of Virginia, and to further amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto two new sections designated 2724-a and 2724-b, both relating to the duties and powers of boards of supervisors in the allowance and settlement of claims against counties ; and to repeal section 2772 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 675 of the Code of Virginia,
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2726-e of the Code of Virginia, in relation to annual allowances to clerks, sheriffs and attorneys for the Commonwealth.
An ACT to abolish fees and commissions as a method of compensating treasurers and commissioners of the revenue of counties; to provide for fixing and payment of compensation and expenses of such officers, and expenses of clerks of the circuit courts, attorneys for the Commonwealth and sheriffs and to repeal all acts and parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to appropriate the public revenue for the two years ending respectively on the thirtieth day of June, 1933, and the thirtieth day of June, 1934.
An ACT to provide for the Virginia commission on county govern-ment making a study of the fee system of compensation of public officers, and making report to the governor.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2854 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to courthouses, clerk’s offices, jails and jailors.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by incorporating therein a new section to be designated as section 1834-b, the object thereof being to create and establish a safety codes commission of Virginia, and to prescribe its duties.

An ACT to revise, collate and codify into one act the general statutes of the Commonwealth relating to building and loan associations, which act shall constitute and be designated and cited as the Virginia building and loan association act, and to repeal all Code sections and all acts and parts of acts inconsistent therewith, and to provide penalties for violations thereof.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section numbered 2727-a, in relation to power of the Governor, upon default in payment of notes or bonds or interest thereon of any county or any district thereof to withhold from said county payment of certain funds appropriated by the State, and to direct payment thereof to holders of said notes or bonds.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 200 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, relating to the pay of judges, clerks, registrars and commissioners of election.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1486 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 34 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act, relating to the charter of the city of Harrisonburg, Virginia, approved March 3, 1896, so as to authorize the council of the said city to elect a justice of the peace for the city of Harrisonburg, in addition to the officers mentioned in section 34 of said charter.
An ACT to repeal an act entitled “An act to create for the county of Norfolk a commission of roads and bridges, and to prescribe the powers and duties of such commission, and thereby to provide for controlling, constructing and keeping in repair the public roads and bridges within said county, and for acquiring, establishing, altering and vacating roads and bridges therein; and to repeal an act entitled an act for working and keeping in repair the public roads in Norfolk county, approved February 18, 1890, as amended by acts approved February 26, 1908, and March 14, 1910, respectively, and also to repeal an act entitled an act for working and keeping in repair the public roads in Norfolk county, approved February 1, 1894,” approved February 1, 1915, and all amendments of such act; and to require the commission of roads and bridges for the county of Norfolk to turn over all equipment, materials, machinery, maps, plats, books, records, moneys and all other county property in its possession or under its control as such commission, including any money in its hands, to the board of supervisors of Norfolk county.
An ACT to provide quarters for veterans’ organizations.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2726 of the Code of Virginia as last amended by an act approved March 27, 1930, in relation to boards of supervisors.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 349 of the Tax Code of Virginia, relating to the location of the offices of county treasurers.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 231 of the Tax Code of Virginia, in relation to duty of division superintendents of schools to furnish boundaries of school districts to public service corporations.
An ACT to provide for the suspension of operator’s and chauffeur’s licenses and registration certificate, and the right of non-residents to operate a motor vehicle, in certain cases; to prescribe procedure where damages to property and/or injuries to persons have been caused by the operation of motor vehicles, and to prescribe penalties.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4, 5, 7 and 15 of an act entitled “an act to provide a new charter for the town of Abingdon, Virginia, and to repeal all other acts with reference thereto,” in effect January 22, 1900, and to further amend said act by adding thereto three new sections, to be numbered 32, 33 and 34.
An ACT to provide for the licensing of chauffeurs, and other motor vehicle operators, and for the suspension and revocation of such licenses for certain causes; to fix liability on certain persons for negligence in the operation of motor vehicles on the public highways; and to prescribe penalties for violations of certain provisions of this act.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2 and 5 of article II of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Phoebus in Elizabeth City county, approved January 22, 1900, as heretofore amended, and to amend said act by adding thereto a new section numbered section 7.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 369 of the Tax Code of Virginia, relating to the receipt, accounting for, and paying over of taxes and levies by treasurers of cities and counties.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 366 of the Tax Code of Virginia, relating to the suspension and removal of treasurers of counties and cities and of other officers charged with the collection and disposition of and accounting for public revenues.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the city of Alexandria, Virgin

An ACT to provide a police commission for Norfolk county, to appoint and have supervision and control of the police force in said county; to prescribe the powers, duties and compensation of such commission and of such police force, and of the members of each; and to repeal chapter 404 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1922, approved March 24, 1922, and all amendments thereof.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 291 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to disabilities to hold office.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section designated section 2704-a, relating to place of residence of certain county officers.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 318 of the Tax Code of Virginia
An ACT to prescribe the jurisdiction of the State of Virginia over lands in Virginia, acquired by, and/or under the control of, the United States, over matters and things arising on, and over persons and property of persons residing on, such lands.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 69 of the Virginia workmen’s compensation act, which became a law March 21, 1918, as heretofore amended.
An ACT to empower the council of the city of Martinsville to provide certain limited compensation to members of the council and to members of certain committees thereof, for specified services; and to empower said council to appoint a committee or board to make purchases for said city and to audit and authorize the payment of accounts against the city within limitations and under regulations as prescribed by said council, and to perform other functions in regard to the conduct of the municipal affairs of said city.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 10, 11 and 15 of an act entitled an act to provide a charter and special form of government for the city of Hampton, and to repeal the existing charter of said city, formerly the town of Hampton, approved May 23, 1887, and the several acts amendatory thereof, approved, respectively, February 29, 1892, February 24, 1896, March 3, 1898, January 13, 1900, January 30, 1900, February 23, 1901, the two acts of May 15, 1903, March 2, 1914, March 9, 1916, and the acts of December 26, 1903, which became a law without the governor’s signature; and all other acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, so far as they relate to the city of Hampton, approved March 16, 1920, section 15, of which as heretofore amended.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3098 of the Code of Virginia in relation to qualifications of civil and police justices.
An ACT to relieve the director of the division of motor vehicles from liability in the event of loss of certain funds belonging to the Commonwealth.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 359 of the Tax Code of Virginia.
An ACT for the relief of county treasurers who have, prior to March 1, 1932, paid interest on school warrants issued by the school boards of their respective counties.
An ACT to define runners and cappers and prohibiting the solicitation of business by runners and cappers for attorneys at law; providing that contracts secured by them shall be void, and providing penalties for any violation of the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3547 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, relating to fences.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the city of Williamsburg, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to authorize the surviving trustees of Cedar Grove School property in Scott county to turn over to Scott county school board for the benefit of Shoemaker high school the funds in their hands as such trustees.
