An ACT to provide for the publication and distribution, under certain conditions, of certain of the rules and regulations promulgated by certain administrative agencies.
An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 56 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, relating to the location of cemeteries, to provide that the prohibitions and restrictions as to location or establishment of cemeteries shall not apply to the Woodbine Cemetery in Harrisonburg nor to any residence in Norfolk County separated from the proposed cemetery by a State highway, river, creek, tributary branch or marsh lands, if such residence is not less than two hundred fifty feet therefrom at its closest point.

An ACT to provide for the registration of persons qualified to vote, and transfer of persons who have theretofore registered to vote in lieu of such registration, in cities containing more than 190,000 population according to the last United States census, in the year following the termination of the unlimited national emergency declared by the President of the United States on May 27th, 1941, and to provide for such registration thereafter, or transfer in lieu thereof, in the year succeeding each United States census; to provide for defraying the cost and expense of such registrations and transfers; to define persons who may register or transfer registrations and who shall be qualified to vote after such registrations or transfers; to prescribe the duties of general registrars in such cities with respect to such registrations and transfers; to provide for the form of records of such registrations and transfers; and to require persons registered or transferred in such cities to give written notice to general registrars therein of changes in their names and residences; and to provide for the assignment of such persons to proper wards and precincts.

An ACT to declare the necessity of creating public bodies corporate and politic to be known as hospital authorities to engage in hospital construction, maintenance and operation, to provide for the creation of such hospital authorities; to define the powers and duties of hospital authorities, and to provide for the exercise of such powers, including acquiring property by purchase, gift or eminent domain, and borrowing money, issuing revenue and credit bonds and other obligations, and giving security therefor; and to confer rights upon and provide remedies for obligees of hospital authorities.

An ACT to provide for a revision and recodification of the Code of Virginia and to that end to provide for a Commission charged with the duty of performing such work, authorizing it to enter into contracts for the necessary work and directing it to report to the General Assembly for adoption or rejection of its work; providing for the numbering to be employed in the Code, providing certain authority as to the arrangement of subject matter, the number of volumes, the distribution of the finished work; to provide for a continuing system of keeping such revision current; and to make an appropriation.
