An ACT to authorize the town of Blackstone to erect, purchase, or otherwise acquire a municipal building to be used as a council chamber, court room, jail, house for the fire department and its equipment, mayor’s office, and other town officers, and for other municipal purposes; to authorize the said town to issue bonds in a sum not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2767 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to the board and city councils providing books, seals, etcetera, for the clerks and treasurers, as amended by an act approved March 15, 1920.

An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Clintwood in the county of Dickenson to borrow a sum of money, not in excess of $30,000.00, and to issue the bonds of the said town therefor, for the purpose of constructing a water supply system and sewerage system, and for the purpose of improving the streets in the said town, and requiring the said council to annually levy a tax upon all property subject to local taxation in the said town, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.

An ACT to validate notes or certificates of indebtedness or any renewals thereof of the town of Cape Charles aggregating one hundred and eighty-nine thousand, forty-four dollars and fifty-six cents ($189,044.56), and providing for the payment thereof.
An ACT to authorize the county school board of Northampton county in behalf of the several school districts therein, to borrow money and to issue its refunding bonds therefor, for the purpose of paying a like amount of outstanding bonds of the several school districts in said county, or any of them, and to provide for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity.

An ACT to provide for budgeting the funds of the department of game and inland fisheries.
An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of the county of Warren county to prorate the dog license fund in payment of damages for bonds of the said county therefor, for the purpose of building a bridge across the Shenandoah river at Morgan ford in said county; and authorizing the board of supervisors to annually levy a tax to pay the interest thereon and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact an act to provide for the issuing of county bonds for permanent road or bridge improvement.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Amherst to borrow money not in excess of $20,000.00, and to issue its time warrants therefor, for the purpose of refunding certain road bonds of the said county which mature on January 1, 1927.
An ACT to provide for the creation of road subdistricts in the county of Chesterfield; to prescribe the powers and duties of the board of supervisors of such county as to the construction of streets and sidewalks in such subdistricts; and to provide for the issuance of county bonds to provide funds for constructing such streets and sidewalks.

An Act to authorize the county school board of Charlotte county to borrow money not in excess of $40,000.00, and to issue bonds therefor, for public school purposes in the said county and in certain school districts thereof; and requiring the board of supervisors of said county to levy annually a tax to pay the interest thereon, and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2769 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to the compensation of supervisors.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Botetourt county to construct, as hard surface roads, the uncompleted part of the Fincastle-Springwood road within the Buchanan magisterial district, and the road from Springwood to Buchanan, on the north or east side of James river, both in said county; and also to authorize said board to issue and sell warrants on the county treasurer to provide for all the costs thereof, and to make provisions for the payment of the interest on said warrants and the retirement of the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to authorize, empower and direct the board of supervisors of the county of Princess Anne to borrow money by the issue of bonds in the aggregate sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00) for the purpose of purchasing, building and improving roads and bridges in Seaboard magisterial district in said county: to sell the said bonds; to provide for the payment of interest thereon and principal thereof and to authorize the commission of roads and bridges of Princess Anne county for Seaboard magisterial district, to dispense the funds so obtained.
An ACT to appropriate the sum of $1,080.00 for each year of the biennium ending February 29, 1928, to increase the compensation of certain employees in the State office building and library building.
An ACT to appropriate to the commission on conservation and development the sum of $50,000.00 for each of the years of the biennium ending February 29, 1928, the same to constitute a State advertising fund.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Culpeper to employ a superintendent of roads for the districts of Catalpa, Cedar Mountain, Jefferson and Stevensburg, in the said county; to prescribe the powers and duties of such superintendent and authorize the levy of a tax in said districts to pay the expenses incident to the employment of such superintendent, approved March 3, 1924.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 552 of the Code of Virginia, requiring the State accountant to devise a system of bookkeeping and accounting for State and local officers.
An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Patrick county to borrow money for the purpose of loaning same to the State for the construction of route No. 23 of the State highway system.
An ACT to authorize, empower and require the board of supervisors of Grayson county to borrow the sum of sixty thousand ($60,000.00) dollars, and to issue bonds therefor, for the surveying, repairing, improving, constructing and hard-surfacing certain roads and bridges in Old Town magisterial district of said county
An ACT to provide for the election by the board of supervisors of Arlington and Alleghany counties of a county manager and providing for the duties of said manager and method of election; and providing an election by the people in said county to determine whether a county manager shall be employed or not in case the board of supervisors fail to comply with this act, by the adoption of same by a suitable resolution and the employment of a county manager.
An Act to authorize the County School Board of Lunenburg County to borrow not in excess of $12,000.00 on behalf of Brown Store and Plymouth school districts for the purpose of refunding certain bonds of the said school districts maturing June 1, 1926.
An ACT to authorize and direct the board of supervisors of the county of Southampton to pay into the treasury of the county of Nansemond the sum of $3,000.00 due the latter county under an agreement entered into in the year 1921.
An ACT to require the boards of supervisors of the counties and the councils or other governing bodies of cities and towns to prepare and publish annual budgets, to hold public hearings thereon, and to give publicity to proposed increases in the local tax levies; to provide for regular audits by the State accountant in the counties, and to prescribe the duties and powers of such accountant in reference thereto.

An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 387 of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia, of 1926, entitled “an act requiring all oysters from the public rocks of the Commonwealth to be inspected when loading on vessels ; measurements; tax; penalties,” approved March 24, 1926, as amended, so as to include all oysters, taken from such public rocks.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5431 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, in relation to investments that may be made by executors and other fiduciaries.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act to create the city of Hopewell, in the county of Prince George; to provide temporary and permanent officers for its organization and management and to authorize the assessment and collection of revenue necessary for the permanent improvement and government of said city, approved February 26, 1916, as amended by an act approved March 20, 1920, as amended by an act approved March 20 1922.

An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to borrow eighty thousand dollars and to issue bonds therefor, to be used by said city in making public improvements in territory annexed to the city of Newport News, under Provisions of section 2958 of the Code of Virginia, as amended by act of general assembly of Virginia, 1924, chapter 441.
An ACT to authorize the governing boards of the University of Virginia, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, the Virginia Normal and Industrial Institute and the State teachers colleges at Farmville and Harrisonburg to issue and sell, through the commissioners of the sinking fund, certificates of indebtedness in the name and on behalf of their institutions, respectively, to raise funds for dormitory construction purposes and for the construction of a power and heating plant at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, subject to the conditions and limitations contained in this act; to provide for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity.

An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Vinton, Roanoke county, Virginia, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith.
An ACT to authorize the city of Fredericksburg, Virginia, to borrow a sum of money not to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) and issue bonds therefor, to cover the cost of addition to the high school building in said city.

An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Grayson to borrow a sum of money, not in excess of $6,000.00, in behalf of Wilson magisterial district, and to issue bonds of said county therefor, for the purpose of constructing the road in Wilson magisterial district recently surveyed from White Top to connect with route No. 12, at a point near Grant, via Cabin Creek, Helton and Rugby, and to provide for the payment of the interest on such bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act approved February twenty-first, nineteen hundred and twenty, entitled an act to encourage thrift and savings amongst industrial classes, similar to the encouragement afforded by building and loan associations and to authorize the incorporation of industrial loan associations for the purpose of making small loans to industrial classes on security and at a low rate of interest.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2769 of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore amended, concerning the pay of supervisors.

An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Grayson county to borrow the sum of $39,000.00, and to issue bonds therefor for the repair, improvement and construction of certain roads and bridges in Elk Creek and Providence magisterial districts of said county; to provide for the expenditure of the funds raised by such bond issues; to employ a competent road engineer, whose selection shall be approved by the chairman of the State highway commission, to make plans and specifications of all roads and bridges thereon, to be built or permanently improved from the proceeds of such bond issues, and to supervise the building of same; to employ and pay for the labor for construction of the roads mentioned; to specify the roads and parts thereof to be constructed, and the amounts to be expended thereon; to provide for imposing a tax on all property, county and district, including property in any incorporated town situated within the above-named districts, for the purpose of paying the interest and principal of such debt; to do all things necessary, needful or incidental to the main purpose of this act; and to declare an emergency.
An ACT to reimburse John FE. Ross for a certain sum improperly paid into the treasury of the State of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 10, subsection (b) of section 11, and section 13 of an act entitled an act to reorganize the administration of the State government, in order to secure better service, and through co-ordination and consolidation, to promote economy and efficiency in the work of the government; to create and establish or continue certain departments, divisions, offices, officers and other agencies, and to prescribe their powers and duties; to abolish certain offices, boards, commissions and other agencies, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act to the extent of such inconsistency
An ACT to provide a general road law applicable in all the counties
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 208 of the acts of 1926, entitled an act to authorize, empower and direct the board of supervisors of the county of Princess Anne to borrow money by the issuance of bonds in the aggregate sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) for the purpose of purchasing, building and improving roads and bridges in Seaboard magisterial district in said county; to sell the said bonds; to provide for the payment of interest thereon and principal thereof and to authorize the commission of roads and bridges of Princess Anne county for Seaboard magisterial district, to dispense the funds so obtained, approved March 18, 1926, by adding thereto two new sections to be numbered sections 8a and 8b, providing for the expenditure of the surplus of the funds raised under this act.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of the county of Carroll to borrow money, not in excess of $75,000.00, and to issue bonds of the county therefor, for the purpose of surveying, constructing, repairing and improving certain roads and bridges, for Piper's Gap magisterial district of said county, and to provide for the payment of the interest on such bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to provide a legislative committee to consider and investigate all matters relating to the apportionment of that portion of the motor vehicle fuel tax appropriated for the maintenance of the roads and bridges in the several county highway systems, and for the construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges in such systems, and to prescribe the powers and duties of said committee.
An ACT to authorize and empower the district road board of Ashby magisterial district of Shenandoah county to borrow a sum of money not exceeding $7,000.00, and to issue notes of the board therefor, for the purpose of paying the existing road indebtedness of. and to do necessary road work in, said Ashby magisterial district in said county.
