AN ACT to amend and reenact § 13, as amended, of an act entitled ‘‘An Act to incorporate the town of Windsor, in the county of Isle of Wight’
AN ACT to transfer the jurisdiction and control of certain parcels of land through and along the Virginia Truck Experiment Station in Princess Anne County from the Board of Directors thereof to the State Highway Commission, and to authorize the latter Agency to use said parcels of land as a part of State Highway Route Number 13.
AN ACT to vest in the governing bodies of certain counties additional powers and duties as to constructing, reconstructing, extending, altering, maintaining and repairing sewer systems, or sidewalks, and parts thereof; to authorize such governing bodies to levy certain taxes and assessments, and to provide for certain exemptions therefrom, for the construction, reconstruction, extension, alteration, maintenance and repair of sewer systems, or sidewalks, and parts thereof, to provide for the recordation and collection of the same and the handling and disposition of revenues derived therefrom; and for such purposes to vest in such governing bodies certain powers of eminent domain.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 22-67 of the Code of 1950, relating to salaries of members of county school boards so as to permit increase thereof in certain counties.
AN ACT to appropriate certain sums of money in aid of certain Confederate Memorial Associations and organizations of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in Virginia, to be used in caring for Confederate cemeteries and graves of Confederate soldiers and sailors not otherwise cared for in cemeteries, and in erecting and caring for markers and monuments to such soldiers and sailors.
An ACT to amend and reenact § 22-277 of the 1950 Code pertaining to the collection of certain tolls.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 3 of Chapter 261 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Virginia of 1936, approved March 25, 1936, which was continued in effect by § 58-769 of the Code of 1950 providing for the assessment of real estate in cities containing more than one hundred and seventy-five thousand inhabitants so as to provide for the appointment of boards of review of real estate assessments in such cities and to prescribe their powers and duties.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 53-109 of the 1950 Code, relating to the use of convict road force in construction and maintenance of highways; acquisition, preparation and disposition of road material; and providing for payment for such convict labor when employed on State highways by State Highway Commission.
AN ACT to transfer the jurisdiction and control of certain parcels of land through and along Blue Ridge Sanatorium, in Albemarle County, from the State Board of Health to the State Highway Commission, and to authorize the latter agency to use said parcels of land as a part of State Highway Route Number 20.
AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding two sections numbered 58-774.1 and 58-774.2, which sections relate to the review of erroneous assessments of mineral lands and to the appraisal of mineral lands by the Department of Taxation; to repeal §58-775 of the Code of 1950 on the same subject; and to make an appropriation to the Department of Taxation to enable it to perform certain duties with respect to the appraisal of mineral lands.
AN ACT to levy and provide for the collection of taxes on certain oysters; to provide how such tax shall be enforced; to authorize the Potomac River Oyster Commission to adopt and enforce certain rules and regulations; to prohibit certain acts and provide penalties for violations; and to repeal certain acts.
AN ACT to provide for the furnishing and improvement of certain facilities at the Appomattox Surrender Grounds; and to appropriate funds.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 29-205 of the Code of 1950, in relation to lists of dog license sales, so as to eliminate therefrom a provision for treasurers’ fees.
AN ACT to authorize the State Treasurer and the Comptroller to make refund to the Veterans’ Administration of certain moneys in the custody of the State Treasurer, and to prohibit the payment of certain outstanding checks.
AN ACT for the relief of the Commercial Credit Corporation.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 2-132 of the Code of 1950 relating to Auditor of Public Accounts so as to impose certain duties upon him and State agencies.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 14-97 of the Code of 1950 relating to what officers not to be paid fees in criminal cases and exceptions thereto, so as to increase the allowance in certain of the exceptions.

AN ACT to establish an engineering experiment station at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, to prescribe the functions and powers of the station and of the governing board of Virginia Polytechnic Institute in regard thereto; and to appropriate funds.
An Act to permit the use of certain devices for the taking of oysters in the waters of the Potomac, to limit the use thereof, to provide for the culling of oysters, to provide penalties for violations, and to repeal certain acts.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 14-116 of the Code of 1950 relating to costs charged for certain services.
An Act to amend and reenact § 10-21 of the Code of 1950 in relation to the acquisition of lands of scenic beauty by the Director of Conservation and Development, so as to correct an erroneous cross reference therein.
AN ACT to amend and reenact §§ 54-864, 54-865, 54-866, 54-867 and 54-868 of the Code of 1950, relating to the Department of Professional and Occupational Registration, so as to prescribe the duties of the Director thereof with respect to the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors; and to appropriate certain funds.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 5 of Title 59, §§ 59-61 through 59-70 of the Code of 1950 relating to paint and paint components; to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a chapter numbered 5, including sections numbered 59-61.1 through 59-61.13 to Title 59, to define and regulate the manufacture, sale, transportation, distribution and use of paint, paint oil, and turpentine, and to prescribe the powers and duties of the Commissioner of Agriculture and Immigration in connection therewith, and to provide penalties for violations.
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 46-210 of the Code of 1950, relating to the penalty for reckless driving.
AN ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Abingdon; and repealing all former charters and all acts and parts of acts in conflict with the new charter.

An Act to amend the charter of the city of South Norfolk, relating to the issuance of bonds and creating a sinking fund.
AN ACT to provide for the participation by the Commonwealth of Virginia in the commemoration of the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the seat of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia, to create a commission to supervise and carry out such participation, to define the duties and powers of such commission, and to appropriate funds to defray the expenses of the commission and the cost of such participation.
AN ACT to amend and reenact §§ 85 and 86 of Chapter 34 of the Acts of Assembly of 1918, approved February 7, 1918, as amended, which provided a new charter for the City of Norfolk, relating, respectively, to sinking fund commissioners and bond issues, and to amend the Chapter by adding a section numbered 2 (c), so as to permit the city to aid in the financing of the construction of bridges within the city constructed by the State or any public agency or political subdivision thereof.
