An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 8 and 12 of an act entitled an act to amend the charter of the city of Portsmouth, approved March 10, 1908, by adding a new chapter, in the place of chapter 9 of said charter, in relation to civil and police justice, providing for his election and qualifications, and prescribing his powers, duties, jurisdiction, term of office, and compensation, and repealing chapter 9 of said charter, as provided by an act of the general assembly of Virginia, approved March 12, 1912, as amended by an act approved March 16, 1918, and repealing all acts, parts of acts, and charter provisions inconsistent with this act, so far as they relate to the city of Portsmouth, and to abolish the offices of civil justice and police justice in said city, approved March 23, 1926, and to add a new section thereto to be known as section 18, providing for the appointment of a clerk to the civil and police justice and prescribing the powers and duties of such clerk.

An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia, by adding thereto ten new sections, numbered 1154-a, 1154-b, 1154-c, 1154-d, 1154-e, 1154-f, 1154-g, 1154-h, 1154-i, 1154-j, both inclusive, relating to the sale of vegetable seeds, providing definitions, label requirements, exemptions; prescribing the powers and duties of the commissioner of agriculture and immigration and his employees; prohibiting false marks; making violations of this act a misdemeanor and providing for prosecutions thereof; providing trial grounds; making provisions for free tests and authorizing the commissioner of agriculture and immigration to prescribe rules and regulations and to repeal chapter 379 of the acts of 1922, entitled an act to prevent the sale of inferior and worthless vegetable seed in the State of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5438 of the Code of Virginia, providing when fiduciaries are protected by refunding bonds.
An Act to amend and re-enact chapter 336 of the acts of assembly of 1926, entitled, “An act to create a commission to represent the State in arranging and carrying out a program for the celebration of the bi-centennial of the birth of George Washington, and to define the powers and duties of the commission.”
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2471, 2489 and 2501 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to delinquent land sales and compensation of certain officers.

An ACT to amend chapter 24 of the Code of Virginia by adding thereto ten new sections, numbered 374-a and 378-a, 378-b, 378-c, 378-d, 378-e, 378-f, 378-g, 378-h, and 378-i, relating to the attorney general and the Division of Motion Picture Censorship; providing for the regulation of motion and sound films, reels or records used in connection with any motion picture; providing a system of examination, approval and regulation thereof, and of all matters connected therewith; providing for censors, their powers and duties; providing penalties for the violation of the sections embraced in this act; and to revise and codify the laws of this State relating to the censorship of motion and/or sound picture film, reel or record used in connection with any motion picture; and to repeal chapter 257 of the acts of 1922, as heretofore amended; to repeal sections 22-a and 22-c of chapter 33 of the acts of 1927, being an act to reorganize the State government.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 75 of chapter 400 of the acts of the general assembly of 1918, commonly known as the workmen’s compensation act, as last amended by chapter 445 of the acts of the general assembly of 1928.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 5812 of the Code of Virginia, relating to new promise; how plaintiff to sue.
