An Act to authorize the Department of Welfare and Institutions, subject to the approval of the Governor, to convey certain real estate in the counties of Smyth and Scott, and to provide for the application of the proceeds.
An Act to provide a charter for the city of Salem, and to repeal Chap. 288 of the Acts of Assembly of 1924, approved March 20, 1924, as amended, which provided a charter for the town of Salem, Virginia.
An Act to amend and reenact §§ 32, 41, 50, 119 and 188 of Chap. 158 of the Acts of Assembly of 1916, approved March 11, 1916, which provided a charter for the town of Victoria, the sections relating to Journal to be kept of Council Proceedings; the purposes for which the town council may make and raise revenue by levies, taxes and assessments; the dates when the town treasurer shall receive tax payments; and to repeal § 115 of said chapter relating to reserves for certain debts of the town.

An Act to amend and reenact 8§ 2, 8, 4, 5, 7, 18, 16, 17, 19, 26, and 28 of Chapter 190 of the Acts of Assembly of 1946, approved March 15, 1946, and continued in effect by Code of Virginia, §§ 15-914 and 15.1-2, which provided an act concerning blighted areas and substandard and insanitary buildings in certain cities of the Commonwealth; providing for the creation of corporations to clear such areas, demolish such buildings and undertake projects for the redevelopment thereof; providing for the supervision of such corporations and approval of such projects and plans for such redevelopment; granting such corporations the power to acquire property for such purposes, to exercise the power of eminent domain, and to sell, lease, exchange or such property; and prescribing the powers and duties of councils and city planning commissions of such cities with respect to such redevelopment projects and plans.
