An ACT to name the bridge across New River, at Barren Springs, in Wythe County, on State Highway 100, the “Leander Sanders Calfee Memorial Bridge”.
1944
An ACT to name the system of bridges and roadways connecting the island of Chincoteague with the mainland, The John B. Whealton Memorial Causeway.
An ACT to authorize the Governor, with the approval of the Virginia Art Commission, to accept on behalf of the Commonwealth a tablet commemo- rating Thomas S. Bocock and have it placed on the wall of the old Hall of the House of Delegates; to authorize the Governor, with the approval of the Virgima Art Commission, to have made and placed on the wall of the old Hall of the House of Delegates, tablets bearing the names of certain Speakers of the House of Delegates, and of the presiding officers of certain State Con- ventions; and to appropriate money for that purpose.

An ACT to provide for the development, use and maintenance of a war memorial in the City of Radford, and to that end to authorize and empower, the City of Radford and the School Board of such city to contract with each other and with certain associations in relation to a certain athletic field as a memorial; to prescribe the rights, powers, duties, and obligations of the parties to, and under, such contract; to authorize contributions and donations to be made to, and accepted for, such memorial and to prescribe how same shall be disposed of; and to authorize the city to provide for the use of such memorial.

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding in Chap 6 of Title 42 a new Article numbered 6 containing two sections numbered 42-66 and 42-67, relating to permits to erect historical markers and penalties for violations; and to repeal Chap 10 of Title 10 of the Code of 1950, containing §§ 10-133 and 10-134, relating to the same matters.
