An ACT to amend and re-enact section 374, chapter 21, of the Code of Virginia of 1887, as amended by an act approved March 16, 1916, in reference to the public defense.
An ACT to provide a new charter for the city of Roanoke and to repeal the existing charter of said city and the several acts amendatory thereof, and all other acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act so far as they relate to the city of Roanoke.

An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Smyth county to make annual allowances, as salaries, to two deputy sheriffs
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of South Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk, approved September 11, 1919, as heretofore amended, which town has since become the city of South Norfolk; and to provide a charter for the city of South Norfolk
An ACT to provide for a special police force in the county of Roanoke, prescribing the manner of their appointment and removal, providing for their compensation, and defining their powers and duties.
An ACT to define ardent spirits and to prohibit the manufacture, use, sale, offering for sale, transportation, keeping for sale, and giving away of ardent spirits, or drugs, as herein defined, except as provided herein; declaring certain ardent spirits contraband, and prescribing procedure for search there- for and forfeiture thereof; to prohibit advertisement of such ardent spirits; to prescribe the jurisdiction for trial and appeals of cases arising under this act; to prescribe the force and effect of certain evidence and prosecutions for violation of this act; defining intoxication and who is a person of intemperate habits within the meaning of this act; prescribing a penalty for intoxication; prescribing certain rules of evidence in certain prosecutions under this act; defining soft drinks, providing how they may be sold, regulating the sale of toilet, antiseptic preparations, patent and proprietary medicines, and flavoring extracts; exempting certain counties and cities from certain provisions of this act and authorizing additional restrictions and limitations beyond the provisions of this act as to sale, manufacture or delivery of ardent spirits in certain counties and cities; to provide for the enforcement of this act and to prescribe penalties for the violation of this act; to make it an offense to operate an automobile, engine, or other motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of liquor, and to prescribe penalties therefor; to appropriate out of the treasury of the State necessary moneys for the enforcement of this act; and to repeal chapter 345 of acts of assembly, 1922, approved March 23, 1922, and all other acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact the charter of the town of Culpeper, approved January 11, 1898, as heretofore amended.

An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Narrows and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict with the provisions of this act

An ACT to provide that officers making arrests, searches or seizures on the public roads or highways of this State shall, in order to obtain any fee therefor, be dressed at the time of such arrest, search or seizure in a uniform; to prescribe the uniform to be worn, and to prevent the taxing or collection of any fees, mileage, attendance, pay or any other charge, compensation or reward for arrests or prosecutions where the arrest, search or seizure was made on a public road or highway by an officer not wearing the uniform prescribed by this act.

An ACT for the relief of the estate of Timothy Rives; and to authorize the payment from the treasury to his executors and executrix, the sum of $2,020.00, for services rendered during the last four years of his term of office as Commonwealth’s attorney of Prince George county.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 25 of chapter 407 of the acts of 1924, relating to intoxicating liquors, so as to prohibit the operation of automobiles by persons while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotic drugs, or self-administered intoxicants of any nature, and to require clerks of courts and justices to report such convictions to the director of the division of motor vehicles.
An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Henrico county to appoint special policemen for said county; to prescribe their compensation, and terms of office, and to repeal all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act, insofar as they apply to the county of Henrico.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 27 of chapter 473 of the acts of 1924, entitled an act to provide a new charter for the city-of Roanoke and to repeal the existing charter of said city and the several acts amendatory thereof, and all other acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act, so far as they relate to the city of Roanoke.

An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Luray, Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3510 of the Code of Virginia, as last amended by chapter 354 of the acts of the general assembly ct 1920, page 529, relating to pay of jailers for feeding prisoners, and to provide that no such payments be made until approved by the commissioner of public welfare; and to provide that the commissioner of public welfare may transfer prisoners from a jail to a hospital, clinic, State, city or county farm, road camp, et cetera.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 2 and 3 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Pulaski, Virginia, and to repeal all other acts and parts of acts in conflict therewith
An ACT to provide a new charter for the city of Lynchburg, Virginia.
An ACT to appropriate $50,000.00 annually, payable out of the State highway maintenance and construction fund, to enable the director of motor vehicles to employ twenty additional inspectors to aid in the enforcement of the laws relating to motor vehicles.
An ACT to define a “mob,” and a “lynching”; to provide for the punishment of persons composing a “mob,” the actions of which result in the injury or death of another person; to prescribe penalties therefor; to provide for the recovery of damages therefor from any person or persons composing the mob; to prescribe the jurisdiction of courts in actions and prosecutions under the provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 28 of chapter 407 of the acts of the general assembly of 1924, page 593, approved March 20, 1924, concerning intoxicating liquors, as amended in chapter 231 of the acts of the general assembly of 1926, page 417, approved March 23, 1926.
An ACT for the protection of foxes, coons, rabbits, squirrels, musk-rats, opossum, otter and beaver, in the county of Lunenburg, and to provide punishment for the violation thercof.
An ACT to provide for protection of school children upon the streets and highways, when being transported to and from school by buses and other vehicles.
An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to validate certain certificates of acknowledgments to deeds and other writings recorded in Virginia taken by commissioners of deeds appointed by governors of States other than the governor of Virginia, approved February 26, 1924, so as to include notaries public appointed by the governor of Virginia, approved March 6, 1926, so as to include notaries public of States other than Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 72 of chapter 474 of the acts of 1926, approved March 25, 1926, entitled an act to regulate the operation of vehicles on public highways; to govern and protect pedestrians while using such highways; to provide penalties for violating the provisions of this act and the disposition of fines and forfeitures collected hereunder, to make uniform the law relating to the subject matter of this act, and to repeal all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with provisions of this act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 3613, 3615, 3625 and 3638 of the Code of Virginia.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3777 of the Code of Virginia, relating to powers of corporations, as amended by an act, approved March 27, 1922.
An ACT creating a judicial council in Virginia for the purpose of considering and recommending needed changes in the rules of practice of the courts of the Commonwealth, and the improvement and simplification of the administration of justice, and defining its other duties, and providing for the payment of its actual expenses.
