An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Chapter 16 of Title 8 thereof an article numbered 7.1, containing sections numbered 8-816.1 through 8-816.4, to compel attendance of witnesses within this State for the purpose of taking depositions to be used in any foreign jurisdiction; to provide for judicial interpretation of such chapter; and to repeal certain acts.
An Act to amend and reenact § 4, as amended, of Chapter 244 of the Acts of Assembly of 1887, approved May 16, 1887, which act provided a charter for the town of Banister, now the town of Halifax, the section relating to the mayor and council of the town; and to further amend such chapter by adding a section numbered 6-a, providing for a police court and police justice for such town.
