| An ACT to validate an ordinance of the city of Hopewell adopted by the city council of the city of Hopewell on the 29th day of August, 1927, authorizing the issue of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) worth of bonds, twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) of which is to be used to construct a jail and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) of which is to be used to institute and maintain sewerage and culverts and other public improvements in the city of Hopewell, and to validate an election held on the 8th day of November, 1927, submitting to the qualified voters of the city of Hopewell the right to pass on the issuing of said bonds, pursuant to chapter 122, of the Code of Virginia; and authorizing the city of Hopewell to issue fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) worth of bonds, twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) as jail bonds and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) as sewerage and other public improvement bonds. |
