Chap. 335.—JOINT RESOLUTION to Provide for the Safekeeping of
Certain Bonds of the Commonwealth.
Approved April 80, 1874.
Be it resolved by the general assembly, That the treasurer
of this commonwealth be and he is hereby instructed to pro-
vide such means and take such measures as he may deem
necessary and proper, to secure the safety and proper Keep-
ing of all the bonds now in his custody, or which may be
hereafter deposited in his office. The treasurer is hereb
authorized to contract with any institution or individual,
having proper vaults for their satekeeping; or, if he shall
deem expedient, the superintendent of public buildings shall
provide for the erection and construction of a proper vault
in the basement of the capitol.
‘Garap. 386.—An ACT to Provide for a new Registration in the City of
Manchester. :
Approved April 30, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
each duly qualified registrar for the city of Manchester, shall,
on the second Monday in May, eighteen hundred and seven-
ty-four, proceed to register, according to the general regis-
tration laws of the state, the names of all the qualified voters
within the wards of said city for which he was appointed,
who, according to law, are entitled to registration therein;
and he shall complete such registration within seven days
thereafter. .
2. In making such registration, the said registrars shall, in
every particular, be guided and controlled by the general re-
gistration laws of the state; and the registration thus made
shall have the same force, virtue and effect, as though the
same had been made under the general registration laws
of the state.
-3. In all other respects, except as herein provided, the du-
ties of the registrars for the city of Manchester, shall be the
same as are prescribed in the general registry laws of the
‘State.
4. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with the provi-
sions of this act, are hereby repealed. .
5. This act shall -be in force from and after its passage.
CH ap..837.—An ACT to Provide fur Repairing the Green House of the
Governor’s Mansion.
Aspproved April 30, 1874,
‘1. Be it enacted by the genoral assembly, That the audi-
‘tor of public accounts be and he is hereby directed to draw
his warrant or warrants on the state treasurer for a sum not
exceeding five hundred dollars, for the expenses of repairing
the green house attached to the gubernatorial mansion, said
‘warrant or warrants to be drawn on the requisition of the
governor, as said repairs may be deemed necessary, and shall
have been made. :
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
