An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 35 of an act entitled an act to revise, simplify, rearrange and consolidate into one act which shall constitute and be designated and cited as “The Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia,” the various statutes of the Commonwealth, concerning the registration and licensing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, the licensing of chauffeurs, the collection of fees and disposition of funds collected, the operation of vehicles on the public roads, highways, streets, and alleys, the Division of Motor Vehicles and the director of said division, the powers and duties of said division and director, and the penalties for violations of the provisions of certain such statutes; and to repeal all statutes and acts in conflict with the provisions of this act, approved March 26, 1932, as heretofore amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 2, 1934, in relation to registration fees.
1944
An ACT to provide for the registration of persons qualified to vote, and transfer of persons who have theretofore registered to vote in lieu of such registration, in cities containing more than 190,000 population according to the last United States census, in the year following the termination of the unlimited national emergency declared by the President of the United States on May 27th, 1941, and to provide for such registration thereafter, or transfer in lieu thereof, in the year succeeding each United States census; to provide for defraying the cost and expense of such registrations and transfers; to define persons who may register or transfer registrations and who shall be qualified to vote after such registrations or transfers; to prescribe the duties of general registrars in such cities with respect to such registrations and transfers; to provide for the form of records of such registrations and transfers; and to require persons registered or transferred in such cities to give written notice to general registrars therein of changes in their names and residences; and to provide for the assignment of such persons to proper wards and precincts.

AN ACT to amend and reenact §§ 15-862, 15-870, 15-872, 15-878, and 15-874 of the Code of 1950, relating to the county board form of organization and government, so as to permit the adoption of such form by any county in the State, to define and limit certain duties of the county executive secretary, to prescribe the compensation of certain county officers, to provide alternate methods of furnishing certain health service and to prescribe the composition of the county board of public welfare, and to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section numbered 15-882.1, to permit the creation of the office of general registrar in counties adopting such form of organization and government.

An Act to amend and reenact §§ 46.1-167.1, 46.1-167.2, 46.1-167.8, 46.1-167.4 and 46.1-167.5 of the Code of Virginia, relating to additional fee and certificates required for registration of uninsured motor vehicles; definition of insured and uninsured motor vehicles; to prescribe penalties for giving false information to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles; and to provide for suspension or revocation of licenses and registration in certain cases.
An Act to amend and reenact §§ 32-148, 2-158, and 82-154 of the Code of Virginia, these sections being part of Article 1 of Chapter 10 of Title $2, which article relates to maternity hospitals, the sections themselves relating, respectively, to permits required for the operation of such hospitals, the granting of such permits, and the prerequisites to the granting of the permits.
