Chap. 25. An ACT to appropriate the sum of two thousand dollars to the
Division of Statutory Research and Drafting for the employment of steno-
graphic and clerical help, and to pay other expenses of said division.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
sum of two thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated,
out of any money in the State treasury not otherwise appropriated, for
the purpose of supplementing the appropriation heretofore made for
salaries and expenses of the Division of Statutory Research and Draft-
ing, for the biennium ending the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hun-
dred and thirty-eight, to be paid by the Treasurer of Virginia on war-
rants of the Comptroller, issued upon the vouchers of the director of said
division.

2. In order to facilitate the work of the said division during the
present session of the General Assembly, an emergency is declared to
exist, and this act shall take effect upon its passage.
