Chap. 19. An ACT to authorize the State Commission on Conservation and
Development to transfer and convey to the United States of America any
and all right, title and interest which the said commission and the Com-
monwealth of Virginia has in and to lands known as and constituting Rich-
mond Battlefield Parks, and to repeal chapter 285 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1934, and all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with
this act. [S B 16]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State Commission on Conservation and Development is hereby author-
ized and empowered to transfer and convey to the United States
of America, by deed signed and executed by the chairman and executive
secretary of the said commission, any and all right, title and interest
which the said commission and the State of Virginia has, and may
hereafter acquire by deed, in and to that real estate known and
designated as Richmond Battlefield Parks.
2. Be it further enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia,
that an act entitled “An act to authorize the State Commission on
Conservation and Development to transfer and convey to the United
States of America any and all right, title and interest which the said
commission and the Commonwealth of Virginia has or may hereafter
acquire in and to lands known as and constituting Richmond Battle-
field Parks,’ approved March twenty-eighth, nineteen hundred and
thirty-four, be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
3. All acts and parts of acts, inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
4. An emergency existing on account of the fact that it is desired
to transfer said property immediately so that it may be developed
without delay this act shall be in force from its passage.
