An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Henry to levy a capitation tax in addition to the capitation tax now levied by law, not exceeding one dollar per annum on every resident of the State within the limit of said county of Henry, to be applied in aid of the public schools of said county of Henry.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4 of an act approved March 3, 1898, entitled an act to prescribe the mode in which clerks of courts shall keep a record of all taxes and other public moneys collected by them, and to require them to pay the same into the treasury, as heretofore amended, and to reped section 3 of the said act.
An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Alleghany county to borrow the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and to issue bonds of the county therefor
An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to issue bonds to the maximum amount of $200,000.00, to be used for the following purposes:
An ACT to require the approval of the qualified voters of the county of Washington on certain local questions; to prohibit the board of supervisors of the said county from appropriating the county levy for certain purposes; to require the division superintendent of schools and members of the board of supervisors of the said county to be bonded, and to make them liable on their official bonds in certain cases; and to limit the rates of levy in the said county; also, to authorize and direct the county school board of Washington county to borrow a sum not in excess of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and to issue its notes therefor, the proceeds to be used to pay the existing school indebtedness of the school districts of the county and to replace funds expended during the present year for indebtedness incurred during the last preceding year or years; and providing for the levy and collection of a tax for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT in relation to local school taxes in the county of Nottoway.
An ACT to authorize the city of Newport News to purchase the water works plant or system now operated by the Newport News Light and Water Company.
An ACT to extend the time within which the board of supervisors of Lunenburg county, Virginia, shall be empowered to levy a special tax in certain school districts in the said county.
An ACT to prescribe how a purchaser of or any person or corporation acquiring a portion of a tract of land or one or more lots, more than one of which are together assessed on one or more lines of the land assessment books, may pay a portion of any delinquent tax bill for an amount due the Commonwealth or any city, county or other taxing district.
An ACT to authorize the county school board of Dickenson county to borrow a sum not in excess of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars and to issue its bonds therefor, and providing for the collection of a tax for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity, and declaring an emergency.

An ACT to amend and re-enact sections 4 and 19 of an act entitled an act to provide a charter and special form of government for the city of Hampton
An ACT to amend and re-enact the Tax bill, as heretofore amended, by adding thereto a new section to be known as section 44%, concerning the tax upon the transfer at death of personal property and real estate within the jurisdiction of this State belonging to the estate of non-resident decedents.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2258 of the Code of Virginia of 1919, relative to filing of interrogatories and answers for assessing personal property for taxation.
An ACT to provide for a tax on property in the Scottsville magisterial district of Albemarle county, including that in the town of Scottsville to pay interest and sinking fund on bonds of said county issued for permanent road or bridge improvement in said district.
An ACT authorizing the county school board of Nansemond county to borrow an amount not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00), and issue bonds therefor, for the purpose of paying the existing indebtedness of said board, other than its present bonded indebtedness, and for the purpose of carrying on its building program and present plan of school work and activities, and to provide for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT authorizing the county school board of Botetourt county to borrow money, not in excess of $250,000.00, and to issue its bonds therefor, to be used for the construction and permanent improvement of public school property in the county of Botetourt, and requiring the board of supervisors of the said county annually to levy taxes to pay the interest thereon, and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to amend and re-enact chapter 8 of an act to incorporate the city of Danville
An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Stuart, in the county of Patrick, to issue not exceeding thirty-two thousand dollars of bonds for the purpose of funding and refunding outstanding indebtedness of said town and providing for the levy of taxes to pay interest and principal of said bonds.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 17 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Abingdon, Virginia, and to repeal all other acts with reference thereto, in effect January 22, 1900, as heretofore amended; and to further amend the said act by adding thereto eight new sections to be numbered 24, 25, 26. 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.
An ACT to amend and re-enact subdivision 5 of an act to provide for the issuance of shares of capital stock of corporations organized under the laws of this State without nominal or par value, and for the domestication under the laws of this State of foreign corporations, all or any class of the shares of stock of which are without nominal or par value
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 39 of an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and public free schools, and to pay the interest on the public debt, and to provide a special tax for pensions as authorized by section 189 of the Constitution, approved April 16, 1903, as heretofore amended.

An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Herndon, in the county of Fairfax, approved January 14, 1879.

An ACT to authorize the county school board of Bath county to borrow money, not in excess of $45,000.00, and to issue its bonds therefor, for the purpose of purchasing land, and constructing and equipping a high school building to be located near Hot Springs, Virginia, for the joint use and benefit of the Warm Springs school district number one, and Cedar Creek school district number two, of the said county, and to require the board of supervisors to levy a tax to pay the interest thereon and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT authorizing the county school board of Madison county to borrow money for the purpose of paying off existing indebtedness of said board, and to issue its bonds therefor, and to require the board of supervisors of said county to levy a tax to pay the interest thereon, and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.

An ACT to improve a license tax on pistols and revolvers; to regulate the sale thereof and of ammunition therefor; and to provide that the proceeds of such tax shall be used for the establishment of a diseased and crippled children’s hospital.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 57 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Covington, in the county of Alleghany, and to repeal all other acts with reference thereto, as approved April 2, 1902, and amended, Acts 1910, 1916 and 1922; and to provide for the appointment by the town council of a police justice for the town of Covington, Virginia, and to define his powers and duties.
An Act to authorize the council of the town of South Boston to issue bonds of the town of South Boston in an amount not exceeding fifty thousand ($50,000.00) dollars, and to provide for the levy of a tax to pay interest on said bonds and to retire the same as they mature.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Southampton to levy, for local school purposes, a county or district tax, in addition to the maximum now authorized by general law, on all property in said county or in any magisterial and school district thereof subject to taxation for local school purposes by said board of supervisors, and to authorize the commissioners of the town of Franklin, to levy, for local school purposes, a district school tax, in addition to the maximum now authorized by general law, on all property in said town subject to taxation for school purposes.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 11 of an act entitled an act to provide a new charter for the town of Wytheville, and to repeal its present charter, approved February 26, 1920, as heretofore amended.
An Act authorizing the county school board of Princess Anne county to borrow money, not in excess of $60,000.00, and to issue its bonds therefor, for the construction and equipment of a high school building at Oceana in Lynnhaven school district and to pay for the site; and requiring the board of supervisors of said county annually to levy a tax to pay the interest thereon, and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Henry county, and the incorporated towns in said county, to apply the whole or any part of the district road taxes now collected by law on intangible personal property or that may be collected by law in the future to the maintenance of the public free schools of said county of Henry.

An ACT to authorize the county school board of Northampton county in behalf of the several school districts therein, to borrow money and to issue its refunding bonds therefor, for the purpose of paying a like amount of outstanding bonds of the several school districts in said county, or any of them, and to provide for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT concerning taxation; to segregate for the purposes of taxation, the several kinds or classes of property, so as to specify and determine upon what subjects State taxes, and upon what subjects local taxes, may be levied; to amend and re-enact sections 2205, 2206, 2207 and 2212 of the Code of Virginia; to amend and re-enact sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28, 2914, 31, 33, 35, 36 and 36% of the tax bill, as heretofore amended; to repeal section 2209 of the Code of Virginia; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and to appropriate money for the construction of roads and projects comprised in “the State highway system,” and to provide for an additional fund for the maintenance of public free schools of primary and grammar grades, from the first to the seventh, inclusive, and to provide for the prevention and eradication of tuberculosis among the people of this State, and to extend the work of the State board of health, approved March 16, 1918; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise additional revenue for the support of the government, approved March 23, 1918; to repeal an act entitled an act to raise revenue for the support of the government and to appropriate money for the construction of roads and projects comprised in the “State highway system,” approved September 5, 1919; to repeal sections 2 and 7 of the tax bill, in relation to real estate and tangible personal property; to repeal an act entitled an act to regulate the situs of taxation of bank stock, approved March 16, 1918; to raise revenue for the support of the government and to provide a minimum fixed appropriation of State revenue for public free school purposes and to provide penalties for violations of this act.
An ACT to provide for the creation of sanitary districts in counties of the State adjoining a city having a population, according to the last preceding United States census, of one hundred and seventy thousand inhabitants or more; to prescribe the powers and duties of the boards of supervisors of such counties as to the construction, acquisition, maintenance and operation of water supply, sewerage, heat, light and power and gas systems in such districts; and to provide for the issuance of county bonds; to provide funds for establishing and operating such public utilities in said sanitary districts.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 13 of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of Wachapreague, in the county of Accomac
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3775 of the Code of Virginia as heretofore amended.
An ACT authorizing the county school board of Lee county to borrow money, not in excess of $65,000.00, and to issue its bonds therefor, for the purpose of erecting, repairing and improving school buildings in Rocky Station school district; and requiring the board of supervisors of the said county annually to levy a tax to pay the interest thereon, and to create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Prince Edward county to levy an additional district school tax of not exceeding fifty cents on the one hundred dollars, to be used for interest and sinking fund requirements of loans and bond issues in such districts.
An ACT to amend chapter 120 of the Code of Virginia, which chapter is in relation to the extension or contraction of corporate limits of cities and towns, by the addition thereto of a new section to be numbered 2958-a.
An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section to be numbered section 2430-a, in relation to the compensation of treasurers of cities who do not handle local revenues, for receiving and paying over State revenues, such local revenues being handled in such cities by city collectors in pursuance of the charters of such cities.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2410 of the Code of Virginia, in relation to the collection of taxes by treasurers.
An ACT to repeal an act of the general assembly of Virginia approved March 24, 1922, creating the Hampton Roads port commission, and to abolish the said commission; to create a State port authority of Virginia as an agency of the State, provide for the appointment of its members and for their compensation, and to define its powers and duties; to define the area of the port of Hampton Roads; to permit the council or other governing body of certain cities and towns within the State to appoint boards of municipal dock commissioners; to define and limit their powers; to regulate the construction, alteration, etc., of wharves, piers, etcetera, within the port area; to regulate dredging within the port area; to exempt the property and income of the port authority from taxation; to revoke all laws in conflict with this act; and to provide funds for carrying into effect the provisions of the act.
An ACT to amend and re-enact section 109, chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia
An ACT authorizing the town of Bowling Green to appropriate a sum not exceeding $20,000.00 toward the erection of a public school building in the said town and fot such other school purposes as the council of said town may deem proper, and to levy a tax to pay said appropriations.
An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Honaker in the county of Russell to borrow a sum of money, not in excess of $50,000, and to issue the bonds of the said town therefor, for the purpose of constructing a water supply system, and sewerage system, and for the purpose of improving the streets in the said town; and requiring the said council to annually levy a tax upon all property subject to local taxation in the said town, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity.
An ACT to authorize the county school board of Arlington county to borrow a sum not in excess of one hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars and to issue its notes therefor, and providing for the levy and collection of a tax for the payment of the interest thereon and the principal thereof at maturity, and declaring an emergency. {H B 79}
