An Act to amend Chapter 412 of the Acts of Assembly of 1887-1888, approved March 5, 1888, as amended, which provided a charter for the town of Gate City, formerly Estillville, in Scott County, by adding a section numbered 2.2, providing certain powers.
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 27-26.4, as to permit the exclusion of certain areas from fire districts and to exempt such areas from certain levies.

An Act to enable cities, towns and counties to provide for certain presumptions as to the disability of certain firemen caused by respiratory diseases, hypertension or heart disease, resulting in total or partial disability, and to base eligibility for certain benefits thereon.
An Act to amend and reenact § 27-54.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to prohibition against certain acts on certain lands in certain areas where extraordinary fire hazards exist; to authorize the Governor to issue proclamations in relation thereto; and to except certain fishing activities from the prohibition.

An Act to repeal §§ 22, 26, 27 and 48, in Chapter 5 of Chapter 398, Acts of Assembly of 1932, approved March 29, 1932, as amended, which provided a charter for the city of Williamsburg; to amend such chapter by amending §§ 23 and 25, in Chapter 5, and §8§ 49 and 50, m Chapter 6, and § 62 in Chapter 8, and to further amend Chap. 398 by adding in Chapter 5, sections numbered 22.1 and 22.2; the repealed, amended and added sections relating to, respectively, the council’s power of control and management of fiscal and municipal affairs; prohibition against city’s taking private property without compensation in certain instances; the counctl’s power over encroachments on city property and power to levy taxes; the power of the city council to acquire land for burial of the dead, to prescribe fines and penalties for violation of ordinances; and to organize a fire department and enact fire zoning ordinances; to enact zoning ordinances generally and to adopt certain provisions relating thereto of Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia; and the enumeration of the powers of city council.

An Act to amend and reenact certain sections of the charter for the city of Portsmouth, relating to election and terms of councilmen, penalties and interest on delinquent taxes, qualification of civil service applicants, and compensation of mayor and council.
