AN ACT to amend Chapter 47 of the Acts of Assembly of 1956, Extra Session, approved September 29, 1956, which authorized the Virginia State Bar to make certain rules and regulations concerning legal aid societies, to provide for enforcement and to prohibit the operation of certain legal aid societies, by adding a section numbered $-a, to make it a misdemeanor and to provide penalties for any person, firm, corporation, association, or organization of any nature who or which renders the services of a legal aid society without complying with such rules and regulations, and to provide for the disbarment of and penalties for any attorney at law who assists in rendering such services; and to provide for enjoining violations.

An Act to amend and reenact § 18-159 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the definition of burglary and the possession of burglarious tools
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 8-67.5, to provide that the appearance as counsel, by any attorney at law, in any proceeding before any court, board, agency or legislative committee in this State, shall be deemed equivalent to an appointment, by such attorney, of the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Appeals and his successors in office, to be the true and lawful attorney of such attorney upon whom may be served all lawful process against and notice to such attorney in any action, proceeding, or inquiry concerning his participation in any such proceeding in which he appeared as counsel; to provide for service of process or notice upon the Clerk of the Supreme Court of Appeals in such instances; to provide how process or notice may be mailed such attorney; to require such attorney at law, having been so served to appear in response thereto; to provide penalties for refusal to appear; and to provide for continuances in certain instances.
An Act to amend Chapter 157 of the Acts of Assembly of 1908, approved March 10, 1908, which provided a new charter for the city of Portsmouth, by adding a section numbered 28-f, to empower the city of Portsmouth to acquire title to property or any interest or estate therein by condemnation proceedings upon the deposit in the court having jurisdiction for each parcel the funds necessary to compensate owners thereof for such property to be acquired or damaged.
