CHAPTER 91
An Act to authorize the Superintendent of State Police, subject to the
approval of the Governor, to convey, under certain conditions, certain
real estate owned by the Department of State Police.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. That the Superintendent of State Police be, and he hereby is,
subject to the approval of the Governor, authorized to convey to the city
of Norton, Virginia, the following described real estate:
All that part and parcel of land with the building situate thereon,
fronting on Park Avenue, city of Norton, Virginia, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point corner to land of the city of Norton, Virginia,
and land of the Norfolk and Western Railway Company said point being
at right angles to and 308.0 feet distant northwardly from a point in the
centerline of Main track of the Pocahontas Division Clinch Valley District
of the Norfolk and Western Railway Company at Station 5280 plus 46
and at Mile Post N-466 plus 1113.2 feet as measured from Norfolk, Vir-
ginia; thence along the dividing line between the land of the city of
Norton and land of said Railway Company N 24°00’ W 192.0 feet to
a point in the south line of Park Avenue; thence along said line of Park
Avenue N 66°00’ E 47.7 feet to a point; thence through the land of said
Railway Company as follows: S 24° 00’ E 192.0 feet to a point; thence
S 66° 00’ W 47.7 feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.210
of ean acre, more or less, as shown on plan N-29214-A, dated June 15,
In exchange for such land, the Superintendent of State Police shall
receive contemporaneously with the delivery of the deed, a deed from the
city of Norton, Virginia, conveying to the Commonwealth of Virginia,
Department of State Police certain other comparable property and build-
ings situate thereon in the city of Norton, Virginia, with such easements
of ingress and egress thereto as may be requisite.
The deeds shall be approved as to form and substance by the Attorney
General.
