An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
88.1-881.4, so as to prohibit automobile liability insurers from obtain-
ang credit for other good and valid insurance covering the motor
vehicle insured.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
88.1-381.4 as follows:
§ 38.1-381.4. On and after January one, nineteen hundred sixty-
nine no policy or contract of bodily injury liability insurance, or of prop-
erty damage liability insurance which contains any representation by an
insurance company to pay medical expenses incurred for bodily injury
caused by accident to the insured or relative or any other person coming
within the provisions thereof, shall be issued or delivered by any insurer
licensed in this State upon any motor vehicle then principally garaged or
principally used in this State, if such policy provides for credit against
such medical expense coverage for other medical expense insurance to
which such injured person may be entitled. Nothing herein shall be con-
strued to allow such injured person to collect more than his actual medical
expenses as a result of such accident from any one or combination of all
policies providing automobile medical payment coverage applicable to such
accident.
