An Act to amend and reenact § 54-38, of the Code of Virginia, relating to
revocation of certificates of Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
aa That § 54-33 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 54-33. Grounds for revocation of certificates—The Board may
revoke any certificate after thirty days’ notice, with grant of hearing to
the holder thereof, if proof satisfactory to the Board be presented in any
one or more of the following cases:
(1) In case it is shown that the certificate was obtained through
fraud or misrepresentation.
In case the holder of the certificate has been found guilty by the
Board, or by a court of record, of any fraud or deceit in his professional
practice, or has been convicted of a felony.
(8) In case the holder of the certificate has been found guilty by the
Board of gross incompetency or of recklessness in the planning or con-
struction of work.
(4) In case it is proved to the satisfaction of the Board that the
holder of the certificate is an habitual drunkard, or is habitually addicted
_ the use of morphine, opium, cocaine, or other drug having a similar
effect.
(5) In case it is proved to the satisfaction of the Board that the
holder of the certificate violates or induces others to violate any of the
provisions of this chapter.
No certificate shall be revoked unless a majority of the members of
the Board of the profession involved vote for such revocation.
