An Act to authorize the Virginia State Hospital Board with the approval
of the Governor to negotiate with the First Federal Savings and
Loan Association of Bristol in regard to the conveyance of certain
real estate now owned by the State Hospital Board and to authorize
the State Hospital Board to convey the same real estate. CH 345)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of §§ 37-34.2:2 through 37-
34.2:7 of the Code of Virginia, the State Hospital Board is authorized
and empowered to negotiate with and, with the written approval of the
Governor, to sell for such consideration and on such terms as it deems
best, and to convey by proper deed, approved by the Attorney General,
executed by its chairman and under its seal, to the First Federal Savings
and Loan Association of Bristol, for expansion of the premises of its
branch in Marion, Virginia, all the right, title and interest of the Com-
monwealth of Virginia and such Board in and to a certain tract or parcel
of real estate described according to map dated December 22, 1966, by
Charles D. Clark & Associates as follows:
Beginning at a point, a common corner of property of First Federal
Savings & Loan Association and Southwestern State Hospital, which be-
ginning point is 81° 00’ E 9.00 feet from an iron pin in the east side of
Pendleton Street—State Route No. 16—and running thence with the line
of said Savings & Loan Association N 02° 42’ W 151.20 feet to an iron
pin, another corner of property of said Savings & Loan Association and
Southwestern State Hospital; thence with another line of said Savings
& Loan Association N 85° 37’ E 45 feet to an iron pin; thence over and
across lands of Southwestern State Hospital S 138° 44’ W 159.02 feet
to the point of beginning, being a triangular shaped parcel of land con-
taining 3401 square feet.
2. All moneys accruing from the sale therein authorized shall be de-
posited in the State treasury to the credit of the general fund.
3. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
