An Act to amend and reenact § 68-359.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to establishment of separate, exclusive order books, files and indices
of adoption cases.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 63-359.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 63-359.1. The clerk of any court having jurisdiction in adoption
cases * shall, with the approval of the judge of said court entered of
record, * establish and maintain a separate and exclusive order book, file
and index of adoption cases, none of which shall * be exposed to public
view but which shall be made available by such clerk to persons and
attorneys having an interest in the subject matter and to welfare officials
and court officials and to such other persons as the court shall direct in
specific cases.
