CHAPTER 328

An Act to amend and reenact § 15.1-583 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to salaries of clerks of Boards of Supervisors; and to repeal § 15.1-534
of the Code of Virginia, as amended, relating to salaries of clerks of
Boards of Supervisors in certain counties. rH 1016]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 15.1-533 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 15.1-533. Salary of clerk generally—Such clerk may receive * as
compensation for his services as clerk of the board * a sum not exceeding
twenty-five hundred dollars * annually except that the clerk of the board
of the county of Henrico shall receive a salary in an amount determined
by the board, and such salary shall be in lieu of and in satisfaction of any
compensation allowable under § 83-160. Such salaries shall not be con-
sidered in determining the maximum total annual compensation of officers
as set forth in §§ 14.1-186 and 14.1-148.

2. § 15.1-534, as amended, of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
