CHAPTER 295
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Title 22 a chapter
numbered 15.2, consisting of §§ 22-380.12 through 22-880.16, creating
an Advisory Committee on Fire Service Training to the Department
of Education; fixing the number and duties of the Committee and
other related ‘matters.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding in Title 22 a chapter
numbered 15.2, consisting of §§ 22-330.12 through 22-330.16, as follows:
Chapter 15.2
Advisory Committee on Fire Service Training
§ 22-330.12. An Advisory Committee on Fire Service Training con-
sisting of seven members and hereinafter called ‘the Committee” shall
be appointed by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction to serve
for such period of time as may be deemed necessary by the State Superin-
ndent.
§ 22-330.18. The Committee shall confer and advise with the De-
partment of Education and the State Board of Education regarding the
development and institution of a program of fire service training to meet
the needs of the State. The Committee shall meet periodically upon call
of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
§ 22-330.14. The members of the Committee shall be reimbursed for
necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties herein
described, the same to be payable out of funds appropriated to the State
Department of Education under the provisions of this act.
§ 22-330.15. The Superintendent of Public Instruction may, through
funds appropriated under this act, employ additional staff to strengthen
the fire training program.
§ 22-330.16. There is hereby appropriated to the Department of
Education the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars per year for each year
o the biennium beginning July 1, 1968, for carrying out the provisions of
