CHAPTER 258

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
58-863.1, so as to require certain marina operators to report to the
commissioners of the revenue a list of the owners of the boats kept
therein; providing a penalty.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
58-863.1, as follows:
§ 58-863.1. Every person, firm or corporation operating a marina or
boat storage place which accommodates more than four boats, in this
State, shall on or before February first of each year, upon the request of
the commissioner of the revenue, file with the commissioner of the revenue
of the county or city in which such marina or boat storage place is located,
a list giving the name and address of the owner and the name and number
of the boat, if such be available, of the owner or operator of each boat
physically located and normally kept at his marina or boat storage place
as of January first preceding. Violators of this section shall be fined not
less than fifty dollars nor more than three hundred dollars.
