CHAPTER 233

An Act to amend and reenact § 24-220, as amended, of the Code of Virginia,
relating to substitution for member of electoral board at printing of

ballots.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 24-220, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 24-220. Substitution for such member in certain cities and coun-
ties.—In cities having a population of thirty thousand or more inhabitants
and in counties operating under the provisions of the county manager form
of government, as provided in Chapter 18 of Title 15.1, and in counties
having a density of population in excess of two thousand per square mile,
the electoral board may designate some other person to perform such duties
as required in the preceding section. Such person, before entering upon the
performance of such duties, shall take an oath that he will faithfully execute

e same.
