CHAPTER 193

An Act to authorize the Governor to lease certain land to the city of
Virginia Beach.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Governor, by deed in form approved by the Attorney Gen-
eral, for and in consideration of the payment of a rental of ten dollars
($10.00) per annum paid in advance on the first day of July of each
year, is hereby authorized to lease to the city of Virginia Beach for twenty-
five years subject to the right of the Commonwealth to cancel said lease in
the event of emergency, that certain parcel of land at the military reserva-
tion at Camp Pendleton, and more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the east side of the road at Route 633;
shown as R. R. Iron, Point No. 72 on U. S. Army Corps of Engineers
drawing title “Survey of Physical Features and Boundary Lines Camp
Pendleton, Virginia” dated April 21, 1942, File No. C4-1-5-222 (4);
thence running North 19 degrees 03 minutes 05 seconds East 231.02
feet to a point; thence North 15 degrees 57 minutes 31 seconds
East 514.51 feet to a point; thence North 15 degrees 49 minutes 24
seconds East 498.77 feet to a point; thence North 16 degrees 12 minutes
04 seconds East 1,091.44 feet to a point; thence South 72 degrees 0 minutes
