CHAPTER 146

An Act to amend and reenact § 46.1-187, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, relating to traffic signs, signals and markings erected by
local authorities.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46.1-187, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 46.1-187. Traffic signs erected on and after January one, nineteen
hundred fifty-nine, and traffic signals and markings placed or erected on
and after January one, nineteen hundred * sixty-nine, by local authorities
pursuant to this title shall conform * in size, design and color to those
erected for the same purpose by the State Highway Department.
