An Act to amend and reenact §§ 24-55 and 24-207 as amended, of the
Code of Virginia, relating to compensation of registrars, and judges,
clerks and commissioners of election.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That §§ 24-55 and 24-207 of the Code of Virginia be amended and
reenacted as follows:
§ 24-55. Compensation of registrars.—Registrars shall receive a
compensation for their services the sum of * twenty dollars each for each
day’s service including the days on which they are required by law to
sit for the purpose of registering persons applying to be registered. The
governing body of any city, town or county may * increase the compen-
sation herein prescribed.
§ 24-207. Compensation of judges, clerks and commissioners.—The
judges, clerks and commissioners of any election shall receive as com-
pensation for their services the sum of * twenty dollars for each day’s
service rendered. The governing body of any city, town or county may
increase the compensation herein prescribed for judges, clerks and
commissioners of election or for any one or more of them.
