An Act to amend and reenact §§ 9-67 us amended, and 9-68 of the Code of
Virginia, relating to members of the Virginia Code Commission; com-
position of membership; terms and vacancies; compensation and
expenses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That §§ 9-67 as amended, and 9-68 of the Code of Virginia be amended
and reenacted as follows:
§ 9-67. The Commission shall be composed of :
(1) The Attorney General or an assistant Attorney General desig-
nated by the Attorney General, and the Director of the Division of Statutory
Research and Drafting, as members ex officio;
(2) <A judge of some city court of the city of Richmond appointed
by ane Governor for a term of four years if his term as judge be so long;
an
(3) * Two members of the Senate appointed by the presiding officer
of that body for a term coincident with *their terms as * members of
the Senate, and * two members of the House of Delegates appointed by
the presiding officer thereof for a term coinciding with * their terms as
* members of the House of Delegates.
All such members of the Commission shall serve until the expiration
of their terms or until their successors shall qualify. Subsequent appoint-
ments shall be made for similar terms, and vacancies shall be filled for the
aa terms by the persons authorized to make the original appoint-
ments.
§ 9-68. The members of the General Assembly appointed on the
Commission shall receive a per diem of * twenty-five dollars for each day
or portion of a day on which they are engaged upon the business of the
Commission. All members shall receive their necessary expenses incurred
preuannee upon meetings or otherwise incurred in the performance of
eir duties.
