CHAPTER 713
An Act to authorize the Board of Visitors of the College of William and
Mary in Virginia, with the approval of the Governor, to convey certain
parcels of land to the city of Williamsburg.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Board of Visitors of the College of William and Mary in
Virginia is hereby authorized, with the approval of the Governor in writing
first obtained, to convey by deed in form approved by the Attorney General
the following described parcel of land to the city of Williamsburg for the
purpose of widening the Jamestown Road:
Beginning at a point on the existing southerly right-of-way of James-
town Road, also Routes 5 and 31 through the city of Williamsburg, such
point being 25.0 feet on the southerly side of the surveyed center line of
the said highway and on the property line between that of the grantors and
the Tenbry Corporation, the Endowment Association of the College of
William and Mary, thence south 47° 35’ east along the property line for
25 feet, thence along a curve to the right whose radius is 1095.92 feet and
having a central angle of 20° 25’, 367 feet, plus or minus, concentric with
the center line, to a point opposite the beginning of said curve and opposite
highway station 52+33.6, thence north 63° 21’ east, 175 feet, plus or minus,
to a point on the property line of the grantors and the westerly line of a lot
standing in the names of Russell M. Carneal and A. B. Smith, Jr., thence
along said property line north 39° 44’ west for 28 feet, plus or minus, to a
point on the existing southerly right-of-way of Jamestown Road, opposite
highway station 50+65, plus or minus, thence south 63° 21’ west 170 feet,
plus or minus, to the point of curvature of a curve to the left having a
radius of 1120.92 feet and a central angle of 20° 25’ concentric with the
center line and along said curve 362 feet, plus or minus, to the point of
beginning and containing 0.36 acre, more or less.
§ 2. The authorization herein given for such conveyance shall be
subject to the condition that the proceeds of such sale or conveyance be
deposited in the State treasury to be expended by the Board of Visitors of
the College subject to the approval of the Governor, for construction and
equipment of new physical education facilities or for debt reduction.
2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
