An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
46.1-169.1, so as to prohibit certain motor vehicles being operated on
the highways being a certain color; certain exceptions; and providing
a penalty.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
46.1-169.1, as follows:
§ 46.1-169.1. It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle having a
seating capacity of more than fifteen persons to be operated on the high-
ways of this State if it be yellow in color, unless such motor vehicle is reg-
ularly used in transporting students who attend public or private schools.
This section shall not apply to any motor vehicle used to transport passen-
gers for hire, or for a fare operated daily on a regular schedule and main-
taining its terminal in a city or town of the State. This section shall not
apply to motor vehicles which transport passengers as well as school chil-
dren for hire in the cities of Bristol and Charlottesville and which meet
the requirements for motor vehicles used in the transportation of pupils
- the public schools. Violators of this section shall be guilty of a mis-
emeanor.
