An Act to amend and reenact § 58-792.1, as amended, of the Code of Vir-
ginia, relating to extension of time in certain counties for completion
of reassessment.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-792.1, as amended, of the Code of Virginia be amended
and reenacted as follows: ;
£ 58-792.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of § 58-792, the judge
of the circuit court of any county having a population in excess of two
thousand inhabitants per square mile according to the last United States
census or of any county having a population of not less than sixty-six
hundred fifty and not more than sixty-seven hundred twenty-five or of
any county having a population of not less than twelve thousand seven
hundred fifty and not more than twelve thousand eight hundred fifty, or
at any county having a population of not less than thirty-five thousand
and not more than thirty-seven thousand, or of any county having a
population of not less than nineteen thousand and not more than twenty
thousand or of any county having a population of more than twenty-eight
thousand and not more than twenty-nine thousand or of any county
having a population of not less than forty-one thousand four hundred
fifty and not more than forty-two thousand or of any county having a
population of not less than forty thousand four hundred and not more
‘than forty-tico thousand may, for good cause shown, extend the time for
completing the reassessment and complying with the provisions of such
section for a period of not exceeding four months from the thirty-first
day of December of the year of such reassessment.
2 An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
