CHAPTER 473

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
29-159.1, so as to authorize the governing bodies of certain counties
to pay a bounty on foxes; validating payments heretofore made.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
29-159.1. as follows:

§ 29-159.1. (a) The governing body of any county having a popula-
tion of more than five thousand nine hundred and less than six thousand two
hundred is authorized to pay from the dog license fund of such county a
bounty on foxes in such amount as the governing body shall fix. Claims
for and payment of such bounties shall be made as provided in § 29-159.

(b) The payment of any bounty on foxes by any such county here-
tofore made is hereby validated.
