An Act to amend and reenact § 2-11 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
where bonds of certain officers and employees of the Commonwealth
shall be filed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
Poa § 2-11 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
(0) :
§ 2-11. The bonds of all officers and employees of all the depart-
ments, institutions, * agencies, boards, commissions and authorities of
the Commonwealth, except the Department of Accounts, * shall, after
being recorded by the Secretary of the Commonwealth, as required by
§ 49-12, be transmitted * to the Comptroller and be filed in the office of
the Comptroller, and the bonds of all officers and employees in the Depart-
ment of Accounts * shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of the
Commonwealth; provided, however, that nothing in this section shall be
construed to apply to notaries public, nor to commissioners of the revenue,
attorneys for the Commonwealth, clerks of courts and treasurers of the
counties and cities who are covered by other sections of the Code; nor to
other similar officers of a purely local character.
