An Act to authorize the Governor to establish within the office of the
Governor the Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity; to appoint
a Co-ordinator of such office; to define the powers and duties and
to fix the compensation of the Co-ordinator. CH 186)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Governor is hereby authorized to establish within the office
of the Governor the Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity and to ap-
point a Co-ordinator for such office, who shall hold his position at the
pleasure of the Governor and who shall be paid such compensation as the
Governor may fix. The Co-ordinator shall have such powers and duties
as the Governor may delegate to him in order to carry out the functions
of the State and the Governor as contemplated by the Congress of the
