CHAPTER 204

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
58-78.2, excluding compensation of certain members of the armea
_ forces from gross income. [H 8]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by anne a section numberec
53-78.2, as follows:

§ 58-78.2. Compensation received by or on account of.a metiher of
the armed forces of the United States for active service as such membe1
in a combat zone after December thirty-first, nineteen hundred sixty-four
or while hospitalized from such service, to the extent the same is exclud-
able from gross income under the Federal income tax law is hereby
‘liga to be excludable from gross income under the Virginia income
