An Act authorizing the Commission of Fisheries, subject to the approval
of the Governor, to convey, under certain conditions, certain real
estate owned by the Commission of Fisheries. CH 76]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. That the Commission of Fisheries be, and it hereby is, subject
to the approval of the Governor, authorized to convey to the Warwick
Hotel Corporation, the following described real estate:
All that part and parcel of land, lying and being in the city of Newport
News, Virginia, and more particularly described as follows: ;
inning at a point on the southwestern line of West Avenue, which
point is North 20° 20’ West 75 feet from the intersection of the south-
western line of West Avenue with the northwestern line of 24th Street;
thence from said point of beginning running along other property of the
Commonwealth of Virginia South 69° 40’ West 100 feet to a point; thence
running along property of the Warwick Hotel Corporation North 20° 20’
West 25 feet to a point; thence running along property of the city of New-
port News North 69° 40’ East 100 feet to a point on the southwestern line
of West Avenue; thence running along the southwestern line of West
Avenue South 20° 20’ East 25 feet to the point of beginning; said parcel
being shown as Parcel “C” on a plat of survey entitled “Property of Com-
monwealth of Virginia, Commission of Fisheries, Newport News, Vir-
ginia”’, made by Geo. H. Badger, Jr., C.L.S., and dated October 11, 1965,
to which reference is hereby made.
In exchange for such land, the Commission shall receive contempo-
raneously with the delivery of the deed, a deed from the Warwick Hotel
Corporation conveying to the Commonwealth of Virginia the following
described real estate:
All that part and parcel of land, lying and being in the city of Newport
News, Virginia, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northwestern line of 24th Street, which
point is South 69° 40’ West 100 feet from the intersection of the north-
western line of 24th Street with the southwestern line of West Avenue;
thence from said point of beginning running along the northwestern line
of 24th Street South 69° 40’ West 35 feet to a point; thence running
along property of the Warwick Hotel Corporation, designated as Parcel
“A” on the plat hereinafter mentioned, North 20° 20’ West 75 feet to a
point; thence running along other property of the Warwick Hotel Corpo-
ration North 69° 40’ East 35 feet to a point; thence running along prop-
erty of the Commonwealth of Virginia South 20° 20’ East 75 feet to the
point of beginning; said parcel being shown as Parcel “B’” on a plat of
survey entitled “Property of Commonwealth of Virginia, Commission of
Fisheries, Newport News, Virginia”, made by Geo. H. Badger, Jr., C.LS.,
and dated October 11, 1965, to which reference is hereby made.
In addition to the land conveyed, the Commission of Fisheries shall be
conveyed by the Warwick Hotel Corporation such easements of ingress
and egress over the land of the Warwick Hotel Corporation as may be
requisite, and the Commission of Fisheries shall convey to the Warwick
Hotel Corporation such easements of ingress and egress over the land of
the Commonwealth of Virginia as may be requisite.
The deeds shall be approved as to form and substance by the Attorney
General.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
