An Act to amend and reenact § 16.1-48, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, providing that clerks of circuit courts in certain counttes
may act as clerk of certain courts not of record. CH 416]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 16.1-438, as amended, of the Code of Virginia, be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 16.1-43. In any county having a density of population in excess
of four thousand per square mile, or in any county adjoining any such
county, the clerk of the circuit court of the county and the deputy clerks
of such court may be appointed and serve as clerk and deputy clerks,
respectively, of the county court and the juvenile and domestic relations
court of such county.
