CHAPTER 87

An Act to amend and reenact § 46.1-874 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the use of a chauffeur’s license in lieu of an operator’s license.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46.1-374 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 46.1-874. Any person licensed as a chauffeur under this chapter
shall not be required to procure an operator’s license, but no person shall
drive any motor vehicle as a chauffeur unless licensed as a chauffeur.
Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (2) of § 46.1-1 or of any
other provisions of law no person shall be required to obtain a chauffeur’s
license for the purpose of driving a school bus in this State.
